@JrwallaceR@gaughen There is some truth to that argument I really get it, its one way to protect yourself from the pain of being different, and I agree you shouldn’t get angry at *everyone* who doesn’t accept you
But we still have to be loud to fight for our rights as a community imo
@JrwallaceR@gaughen « Just live »
Easy to say when you’ve got a whole ass government and thousands of people trying to erase you and treating you like deviants
We LGBTQ+ are loud because we have to be
@EmperorBigD I have to admit I find the early part of the fight really boring and Toshiyuki Kanno’s stiff animation really doesn’t help. The drawings are great but that’s pretty much it
I always like to join on these trends so here's mine and some precisions
_2nd favorite keeps shifting between HGSS and Platinum
_PLA for fave starters because all three picks are my favorite from their respective og trio
_ I couldn't choose for overrated because I genuinely see all kinds of opinions everywhere, so I just chose a game I think is super mid
_Diamond is techincally my first owned and I played gen 3 beforehand but gen 4 is the first I actually finished
So far AI has:
• destroyed the prices of personal electronics
• have data centers relocate people from homes and contaminate water supplies
• destroy the concept of objective reality with Gen AI
• layoff off thousands from jobs
Oh, but it’s the future guys!
@vz_natan I agree. It would have been better to use the sword/shield art style as a base instead of the scarlet/violet one
At least parts of the Sw/Sh art direction were used for Z-A which could look really really good in some moments
They can improve the performance and graphics all they want, but as long as they don't have a proper art style, Pokémon's looks will always stay underwhelming
@Pluengwyn That's literally not true as there are proper skirts, the character is simply wearing shorts underneath, if that bothers you I'll let you deal with your own weird ass issues
@Pluengwyn -there are real skirts in Z-A
-ZA customisation was peak
-A Kimono isn't suited at all for our SV main character, you can't even run properly wearing one, now imagine riding Koraidon with it, it would break the model immediately
- This has nothing to do with my og tweet what
@cuba_aura I think I need to see more of the game to really be sure of my opnion. There are parts that feel pretty nice, that's undeniable
I guess it feels uncanny because Pokémon is a very cartoonish franchise as its core?
@cuba_aura It's a little tough to explain, but I mean it in a way that they sort of let go of the cartoon vibe to gor for a more realistic approach, except it makes the whole feel of the world a bit uncanny, like the characters and creatures don't mix well with the environment sometimes
@LDTrueBlue Pokémon has always been a series with a cartoon kind of vibe to it though. Details are nice but putting weird goofy creatures inside of a desaturated more realistic kind of environment feels a bit off for a lot of people
@quantaxtrep Not talking actual performance and graphics here, but I feel like every Gamefreaks game had proper art direction up until Scarlet/Violet.
Arceus for example had a really cool idea when it came to the art style but it was sadly not fully realized because of how rushed the game is
