@hk_watch CONTEXT: Hong Kong pension rules enacted in 1995 under British rule say withdrawal is only allowed if s/he gained citizenship elsewhere. Getting "settled status" isn't the same as getting UK citizenship and thus can't withdraw. This rule pre-dated Hong Kong's returned to China.

No governor was Chinese nor could speak Chinese. There can be no claim those governors represented local Hong Kongers.
