My favorite aspect of Mass Effect 1 that the sequels don't capture is the vast and lonesome splendor of the games' setting. In ME1 you fly to the furthest reaches of space and drive for miles across magnificent empty worlds that might never be traveled upon again. It's beautiful.
In my mind this is one of the big weaknesses of the books, and something the Prince Caspian movie improves on by actually exploring within the story. On a human level, this would absolutely psychologically destroy you.
Reminder that even 20 years later Hayden was still as fast as he was here, to the point they had to tell him to slow down during his choreography with Rosario Dawson
In 2022, Hollywood critics gave The Terminal List a 40% score and told people to skip it
Chris Pratt hired actual Navy SEALs as writers, made sure the military tactics were 100% real, and hit #1 on Amazon Prime worldwide
Unpopular Harry Potter opinion: Draco Malfoy had the best post-war redemption arc, but the movies completely robbed us of it.
What actually happened to him after Voldemort’s defeat:
-: The Shift: After Harry saved his life from the Fiendfyre, Draco completely abandoned his pure-blood supremacy beliefs, realizing Muggle-borns were just as worthy.
-: The Drama: He married Astoria Greengrass, who shared his reformed views. This caused a massive family feud because Narcissa refused to accept a daughter-in-law who didn't hate Muggles.
-: The Reality: While Lucius failed to convince the world he changed to escape Azkaban, Draco genuinely put in the work to shed his reputation and raised his son, Scorpius, to be better.
He went from a toxic bully to a broken boy who actively chose to break his family's cycle of hatred.
