Fikile Mbalula is blaming the EFF and its leader, Julius Malema, for the ongoing anti-illegal immigration campaigns.

Mbalula accuses the EFF and Malema of “lighting the fire” in 2022 when party members visited restaurants demanding employment records and targeting foreign national workers, despite not being law enforcement officials.

He says you cannot light a fire in 2022 and then act surprised in 2026 when that fire eventually grows out of control.
