@falloutplays Excited, but also I'm pretty sure that massive article is literally the patch notes the normally releases in Tuesday. Ability article/twid should be juicy tho (unless I'm mistaken).
@PaulTassi@Forbes I wouldn't delete anything, just mark it as junk (in dim), since come Tuesday scrapping gear will once again grant Gunsmith Reputation.
It hasn't fully sunk in yet: an emptiness in my chest, sadness, grief, and...a sense of calmness/release. Destiny 2 has been a big part of my life, my favorite game, and at times my only game. It allowed me to connect with my brother over long distances, acted as a pillar during the pandemic, and lead me to a clan and a group of friends when I had none. It is something I am truly thankful for.
It is never truly the end, and thankfully this final update seems to be a love letter of what the devs could do it its last moments to bring players what they wanted and leave D2 in a solid state, for guardians both new and old to come back to. I wish it was on better terms, either after Final Shape or after this new Fate Saga concluded, but at least it wasn't so abrupt. Plenty of new content to jump into: the final raid gauntlets with the squad, sparrow racing with friends, and the last loot to grind in this lovely space opera.
Destiny 2 wasn't perfect, nothing ever is. But it is something that brought joy to my heart and countless guardians across the world. It was truly special.
3 quotes resonate with me right now:
* "Don't be sad that it's over; be happy that it happened in the first place"
* "See you tomorrow" [been playing thru HSR and this really sticks out. Not a goodbye, but a hopeful farewell - that we'll meeting again in the future]
* "Per Audacia Ad Astra"
A 2nd ZZZ video? In a week? Yup. This time, I embrace my D2 science roots and bring you MATH. As there is nothing sexier than going over a game economy to warn players of a potential trap. The Microcontroller is a good addition, just a lot of nuance.

Been playing ZZZ for the last 10 months as something different. Ended up really liking it and feel motivated to make guides. 0 cross-over with D2 and ZZZ, but I make what I want. First guide is here! (Next 2 - already recorded - get REAL Math-y)

Update regarding Unstable Cores:
Last week, we announced that Unstable Cores would not reset with the launch of Destiny 2: Renegades on December 2, 2025. We noted in the TWID that we would provide future updates on how we would rebalance the economy of this currency.
We have landed on a plan to fully deprecate this currency. Once deprecated, infusion will cost an amount of Enhancement Cores and Glimmer.
Overall, we've found that Unstable Cores have been too restrictive across power levels and fail to drive interesting buildcraft decisions, whether they be powering up through Campaign missions and wanting to try different weapons, or going into Endgame content and looking to infuse lower-level gear to higher power levels.
We don't have an exact patch for this change just yet but are working rapidly to align on a target date. In the short term, we have two items of note shipping tomorrow with Destiny 2 Update 9.1.5.1.
Our goal is to help players with smaller amounts of unstable cores infuse gear alongside Power and Progression changes going live tomorrow until the currency can be retired:
- We have added a one-time reward of 777,777 Unstable Cores to the catch-up chest that will be available in the Tower tomorrow at reset. We highly recommend signing in and using these before they're removed!
- We are shipping a minor change that reduces the number of Unstable Cores needed for infusion at higher power levels until they are deprecated.
We will provide additional updates when available.
Been taking it easy with Destiny 2 due to its current state (and all community noise/drama). So, let's lighten the mood with some gamba and my latest obsessions. Opening some Pokemon cards and pulling for my current waifu (Orphie) in ZZZ 😅

IB multiplier is for your portal score, which effects your end of match rating = loot. Like the bonus you used to get for equipping new gear.
Event Rewards Pass level up with XP earned from challenges or activities associated with them. So you never have to do event challenges to rank up your pass. (You still should to speed up progress, but it means that you could finish it day 1 with a lot of play, not have to wait and do all of the daily challenges.)
Quick Iron Banner event testing, since their is an updated multiplier and event home stuff:
*⃣ Match completion (win or lose) = 188XP
*⃣ Quest 1st step completion gives 1 rank XP (1k)
*⃣ NEW IB Multiplier: contributes to your crucible rewards multiplier (so how much loot, loot quality. not how much Rank XP for the pass). Base is 1.0x, 5 pieces equipped maxes it to 1.1x. Compatible items:
➡️Any IB emblem
➡️Any IB weapon
➡️Any "physical" IB armor. (meaning, the actual armor item, not ornament. Old armor or new armor from event)
➡️IB ornaments that match the current armor set. So, those that match the "reprised" warmind set (see pic) that was changed out last minute. That would be the "Named Lords'" set.
*⃣ IB gear only drops from activity completion (or the few from rewards track / shop). It's a portal activity, so do your best. Higher power and Crucible rank, the better your loot.
@domster Didn't try them, actually. I just assumed not since the old multiplier system (which this one is just a simplification of) didn't use them for credit
@domster Correct. Over the course of the event, if you complete all of them, you'll earn 300 tokens. Imo, tokens are just extra for purchasing stuff in the shop, not really something u need to focus on.
@Arnaiyus@D2LostSector From memory and brief looking online, that curse of Osiris set you are referencing were ornaments, never actual armor. Since everything at Saladin is repeat purchasable, I guess they removed that set cuz it was never able to drop as armor?
Oh totally. Only 1 new weapon seems totally weird since IB has been gone awhile. Could have been that the heard feedback of those not liking IB engram focusing. So, now they are direct drops. But to make sure your are more likely to get what you want from the event, it's a smaller pool. Not trying to make excuses, just offer potential rationales.
Idk what you mean. All gear purchasable from Saladin are all old stuff. The new gear only drops from match completions. Since the "Named Lords" (warmind) set was getting reprised (is the new gear, even tho they replaced the visuals with the eververse set last minute, they removed it from Saladins old gear focusing.
