@MetamateDaz Cars are $50k and up because they’re riddled with technology people think they “need.”
Can get basic cars or one owner low mileage for decent prices still.
@vomitpingpong@WomanDefiner Several factors — Can’t have children. Marriage went down the tubes due to the demanding hours the military had, was young when joining/leaving, raised to believe entitlements were only for those who truly needed it. Only have myself to look out for.
@The_Real_Bjorn1@WomanDefiner Whatever doctor inspected me during out processing and mentioned a minimum based on the conclusions of my tests. Don’t remember the name — This was 10 years ago at MHAFB.
@RudeOnion@WomanDefiner You’d be 100% correct. I’m behind that ALL of the way. I spent years of my life making sure at least one of those, who deserved it, could carry on living. I didn’t mean for my message to mean anything otherwise. If anything, I’m perhaps one of the biggest advocates to the same.
@DriverHawk@WomanDefiner Thanks for having my back. I know you mean well. Just know that this is the path *I* chose and believe in.
What you touched on reaches more than military people — it hits us all.
You have a truly big heart to share what you believe.
@DaveIst3D@jojogetout77311@WomanDefiner I spent two years of my life GLADLY upending everything I knew to get a true combat vet what he deserved — when he was unable (due to traumatic TBI) BECAUSE THOSE are the ones that need this to literally survive. It’s heart breaking to get a call where suicide is the only out…
@DaveIst3D@jojogetout77311@WomanDefiner Dave, I never said anything of the sort. I WANT all the money — INCREASE the money to the men and women who can’t lead the lives they want because of what they sacrificed. I served but I recovered. I’d rather see a massive icrease to the truly brave.
@vomitpingpong@WomanDefiner I guess you’re not familiar with how a service out-process goes. Totally fine. I understand the skepticism given how everything else “works” in this country nowadays.
@LVK0ZY@WomanDefiner You’re not entirely wrong. Our government prints money out of thin air and hurts everybody. I guess I could’ve felt better buying more air pods, but “things” just don’t matter that much.
@The_Real_Bjorn1@WomanDefiner The testing was done as part of my out-processing. Rotator injury was well documented about 12 months into my six year contract. After 18 months it was fine. No PTSD, missing limbs, TBI — Like the guys I served with. I got lucky.
@RudeOnion@WomanDefiner Depends. People who actually need help for real sacrifice definitely deserve our support. People like me who can function fully with little difficulty don’t truly need the assistance to carry on.
@DriverHawk@WomanDefiner I know where you’re coming from and appreciate the sentiment. I can still carry on very normal conversation without difficulty. 85% is better than deaf. You learn to adjust.
And yes — I chose this. No discord there.
@Gogh_Paint@WomanDefiner Appreciate that brother. I healed up fine, though. Plenty people earn it much more. In the end, it’s all fiat printed into infinity. Hurts neighbors like you and I alike no matter what we do. I was in/out too young to understand that.
