Movement protesting the structural legacy of empire at @uniofoxford. We platform students & speakers to combat racism & classism in our curricula & colleges.
Oxford University has repeatedly failed to tackle the systemic racism at the heart of the institution. Alongside other student groups, community activists, and academics, we have written an open letter calling for long overdue change.

I’m visiting @PorchDayCentre as @OxfordCity’s representative to the board. It’s good to see Kizzie & team after so long and Nicola in action making jam and marmalade to raise funds for The Porch’s excellent and vital work supporting people experiencing #homelessness in our city.

In the 6 podcasts, women say complaints processes are confusing, traumatic & hostile.
Multiple cases aren’t heard together. Individual events are dismissed as he-said-she-said. Delays of months even years mean women must live and work alongside men they accuse of abuse.

Prof Peter Thompson is an Oxford history professor. “You know that feeling when there’s a dangerous man in the room,” a former student told @AJIunit.
Despite complaints from staff and students of sexual harassment and drinking being upheld, he’s still teaching.

'Let's not pretend that they've had an easy ride being anti-racist.
'The media has gone for them. Politicians have gone for them.
'But they've stood their ground & they've created an inclusive vibe.'
