CAN YOU AFFORD A PAY CUT?
The cost of living is spiralling out of control. With RPI hitting 11% and a recession looming, we’re asking our colleagues at the University of Sheffield how this is affecting them and their families.

Our door is open.
Show us support and join us on 25th August 12noon outside the Bonar Hall.
Workers are growing in confidence and becoming more assertive. Since I was elected, 63,000 @unitetheunion members have gone into dispute winning over £50 million.
If workers are made to pay the price for #inflation, there could be hundreds of disputes.

After a marathon 4+ hours of negotiations with owners, our reps @BroadcastGLA have left with firm commitments of immediate action on everything from health and safety to contracts and pay which (if honoured) will make #Broadcast one of the venues in Glasgow for its workers.
CabAuto should be thoroughly ashamed of itself. They can absolutely afford a decent pay rise and should pay up now. Our members have @unitetheunion's total backing every step of the way in their fight to achieve that. #CostOfLivingCrisis#JobsPayConditions
Young UK delegates from CWU, GMB, Unite in Oppdal, Norway for the LO Summer Patrol. The Patrol brings young TUs together to engage first time workers about their rights and encourage them to join a union. Our delegates are learning how the Patrol works to replicate it back here.
“This scandalous behaviour is tainting one of the world’s biggest brands. This @CocaCola bottling plant is trying to bully and threaten our members into taking a pay cut while making money hand over fist.” @UniteSharon

Supporting bad bosses is a new low for Labour and once again shows that politicians have failed. It is now down to the trade unions to defend working people. We are their only voice. 3/3 https://t.co/I76FCTgPSq
Workers have had enough. The trade union movement needs to be reborn. We need to act together. Watch Unite General Secretary, Sharon Graham, speak live from the We #DemandBetter march and rally. https://t.co/V82iM4OSXi
Yesterday, we marched with @orgreavejustice to mark 38 years since the Battle of Orgreave, and to demand a full inquiry into the appalling police violence inflicted upon peaceful trade unionists on that day #OrgreaveJustice
Unite’s report exposes the truth. It’s not hard pressed workers who are driving inflation, it’s whole swathes of corporate Britain.
