On the picket line this morning with health visitors in Wales, working for @CwmTafMorgannwg, who are fighting for pay.
We meet government next week.
Solidarity ✊
#Wales
We are stuck in a rigged system where everyday people always, always pay.
Only fundamental, irreversible change will stem the tide. If the party does not shift decisively towards the working class, it is finished.

👉 @BhamCityCouncil can end this strike with a stroke of a pen but are choosing not to. They should honour the deal scoped out at @acasorguk and stop wasting millions of pounds of residents’ money on failed attempts to break the strike. #Birmingham#Labour
123 new bus orders come in, yet 115 skilled jobs are to be axed?
Alexander Dennis should be at the heart of lower carbon manufacturing; not scaling back while demand grows.
Back the workers. Support Scottish industry. Deliver a real just transition.

Protect North Sea jobs by securing today’s jobs while building tomorrow’s energy; rather than exporting jobs and importing carbon.
Extend / Invest / Transition.
We need urgent action, not empty promises of a “just transition”. Keep the North Sea Working.
Sun was out for our members at @UniStrathclyde this morning. On strike demanding no compulsory redundancies. The Uni raided their pensions last year, and now they are back for more from the lowest paid workers on campus. Brilliant stuff as always from this branch✊❤️
This is a fight for jobs.
University of Strathclyde management are again targeting the lowest paid workers while executive pay stays untouched.
We want meaningful consultation on change, including a commitment to no compulsory redundancies.
See you on the pickets - 16-23 March.
IMPORTANT VICTORY: Over 400 offshore members back improved pension deal after threat of 48-hour strike action.
By being prepared to strike our offshore members brought Bilfinger back to the table to make a fair pension offer. #JobsPayConditions

💊@unitetheunion has demanded decisive action by the @scotgov to provide the finances necessary to deliver sustainable health and social care services.
The Accounts Commission report starkly spells out that deep cuts are already underway. #Scotland
Thousands of UK jobs are at risk because of the @GOVUK's dither and delay on decisions around #defence spending.
The @GOVUK must back Britain and British jobs.
Downing Street today👇
🔥 UNITE WIN
The excellent pension deal delivered by @unitetheunion was only achieved because of the strength and unity shown across the workforce. #JobsPayConditions
Great to be with @unitetheunion members in Birmingham at the Unite National Health and Safety conference, as we recognise the important roles our reps play to keep workers safe every day.
🪧 STRIKE
@Bilfinger is putting profits before people in denying its workers a fair pension. This is a company that can afford to pay but has chosen not to. We will back our members all the way as they escalate their fight to secure a fair pension settlement.

🪧STRIKE | Diligenta: Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool, Reading & Stirling
Diligenta has failed to grasp the strength of anger of its workforce. Imposing real terms pay cut on its workers, while making millions of pounds of profits and continuing to reward shareholders is completely unacceptable.
Yesterday Exxonmobil has confirmed that it intends to close its ethylene plant on the Mossmorran oil and gas complex in Fife.
We're calling on the company to withdraw the immediate threat of closure and to explore all options to safeguard jobs.

🗳️ Bilfinger Offshore ballot open now!
Workers at Bilfinger are being let down by their pension scheme. The hard work of the fabric maintenance teams offshore keeps the lights on across Britain. Despite this their futures remain uncertain.
Vote YES for strike action!
*Unite Win*
Bear Scotland maintenance workers who deliver services for major roads, including the A9 trunk road from Perth to Inverness, have secured union recognition and a wage win of up to 7.25%.
