It used to be that the Senate served at the will of the states.
Now they serve at the will of lobbyists.
The beautiful thing about a six-year term is that only one-third of the members face voters at any given time. Even then, only a handful need to act conservative long enough to survive their primary. Once the election is over, they go right back to business as usual.
This arrangement has been in place for more than a hundred years.
It is the main reason the Senate is the branch of government that most consistently ignores the people who sent them there.
They are insulated by design. Long terms. Staggered elections. Heavy campaign money from the same interests they are supposed to regulate. The structure protects them from real accountability.
That is not an accident. That is the system working exactly as it has been allowed to work.
@elonmusk The United States has 3X the number of immigrants than any other country on Earth. What do you think happens next with these replacement statistics?

THE U.S. HAS 3X MORE IMMIGRANTS THAN ANY OTHER COUNTRY ON EARTH.
1 of 6 immigrants on the planet live here. No other major developed nation comes close.
The outcome is clear: the U.S. absorbs a disproportionate share of global migration & ~9/10 new jobs go to them right now.
Pumpfun ($1.3B lifetime revenue) publicly posted a Chief Legal Officer role with a $1–5M base salary.
Yet it laid off employees just weeks/months before their PUMP token grants were set to vest.
At least one person missed a seven-figure allocation.

The most generous country in the world
25% of all Mexicans live in the US. 70% rely on welfare.
~10% of Guatemalans live here. 77% are on welfare.
12% of Nicaraguans live here. 75% rely on welfare.
12% of Haitians live here. 53% rely on welfare.
still so many people ignoring how fast AI is advancing and the effects it’s having on the working class.
this is the biggest real world narrative of the decade and it’s not even close.
