As Jamaica's revitalization continues, it's vital that we better connect area families to the services they need and deserve.
That's exactly the goal of @Commonpoint_Qns' new Family Enrichment Center on 94th Ave. Honored to have helped cut the ribbon yesterday on this new space!
At sunset on April 1, the Jewish community will celebrate #Passover. Over the past two weeks, my staff and I participated in pre-Passover distributions throughout #District29, including at Tomchei Shabbos Queens, @Commonpoint_Qns, @QJCCTweets@ChazaqOrg, and Chabad of Rego Park, with Rabbi Eli Blokh. Big thx to @MetCouncil and the many volunteers who made Passover a reality for those who are food insecure. #Passover

This morning, I was honored to participate in the first food distribution for the upcoming Jewish holiday of Passover. Thx to @MetCouncil@Commonpoint_Qns and all their many volunteers. And, kudos to @MetCouncil for going digital and making the process easier and more humane for those who are food insecure during this holiday season.
Thank you @Commonpoint_Qns, our TRIE partner lead, for hosting, and a special thank you to the offices of Assembly Members @votejgr, @CatalinaCruzNY, and @RagaForQueens for being part of our event and supporting our shared immigrant communities.
This Purim, joy and community matter more than ever.
As war escalates in the Middle East and our hearts remain heavy, Purim reminds us of something enduring: even in moments of uncertainty and darkness, we are called to choose resilience. Connection. Joy.
Continuing to spread the holiday cheer, #TeamNily and I had a great time distributing over 500 toys to our neighbors earlier this week during our toy giveaway.
Thanks to @Commonpoint_Qns for partnering with us!

For eight nights, our community gathered alongside our partners at menorah lightings across NYC, Westchester, and Long Island to celebrate Hanukkah.
In moments of darkness, coming together to light the menorah reminds us of the strength and resilience that carry us forward.
When Charles moved to NYC alone, he struggled to access the care he needed. Through our Connect2Care program and @Commonpoint_Qns, he received compassionate support to build a healthier life. Support programs like these. Your gift is matched: https://t.co/cchEGvC6X0
Last week, we passed critical parts of my Water Safety package. One death due to drowning is too much; we must take tangible steps to protect our children & community.
This was a group effort with so many water safety organizations— we are so thankful for their advocacy!
We were proud to hand out turkeys and bags of fresh produce generously provided by @huntspointmkt — ensuring #Bronx families have what they need this holiday season.
Thank you @NYCCouncil Member-elect Justin Sanchez for joining us in giving back to our community.

We’re incredibly grateful to once again be included as a beneficiary of the @nytimes Communities Fund. This year, our organization is spotlighting two amazing programs - the @SelfhelpNY Virtual Senior Center and workforce development at @Commonpoint_Qns.

We have officially opened a new 21,000-square-foot “one-stop shop” community space behind Queens Borough Hall in Kew Gardens!
Operated by @Commonpoint_Qns, the space will serve as a hub for city services, community events, and nonprofit programming!
Happy Senior Appreciation Month! Every October, it is a pleasure to join my colleagues in uplifting older adults in our community! Today, @QueensTheatre showed out strong and partnered with us to provide an afternoon of international cultural performances at @Commonpoint_Qns!
We are proud to partner with the Queens Theatre and @Commonpoint_Qns to host an afternoon of performances on October 16th at 12:00 PM! See the flyer for more details!
