Reporters: the term you're looking for is "personalization of the state."

[Ben Penn @benjaminpenn]

Blanche now officially chosen for DAG, along with immunity defense lawyer John Sauer for solicitor general (DOJ No. 3) and hush money lawyer Emil Bove for PADAG (crucial Main Justice operating role). A DOJ takeover by Trump’s personal lawyers is in process.

[David Solimini @CommsDirector]

@Pooptoad "otherwise sensible people" is doing a lot of work there

[David Solimini @CommsDirector]

If this sht surprises you, you haven't been paying attention.

It's going to get worse.

[David Solimini @CommsDirector]

@michaelharriot Michael.

[David Solimini @CommsDirector]

Surely a day of ... pride? .... for @williamandmary @WMLawSchool

[David Solimini @CommsDirector]

Need 3 more GOP senators to say this out loud to kill the recess appointments plan.

[Manu Raju @mkraju]

Susan Collins on Matt Gaetz: “I was shocked that he has been nominated. The President, obviously, has the right to nominate whomever he wants, but I think this is an example of why it's so important that we have the advice and consent provisions in the Constitution. If the nomination proceeds, I'm sure that there will be an extensive background check by the FBI and public hearings and a lot of questions asked.”

per @tedbarrettcnn

[David Solimini @CommsDirector]

No, I think it's a dare. He's daring then to oppose him. Cause if you'll swallow Gaetz, you'll swallow anything.

[Ezra Klein @ezraklein]

The Gaetz nomination is so off-the-wall that I half believe he's sacrificial so Senate R's will gave an easier time confirming all the other questionable picks, having shown their independence by icing Gaetz.

[David Solimini @CommsDirector]

Is kakistocracy trending yet?

[David Solimini @CommsDirector]

Legislatures are not sources of resilience in autocratic takeovers.

[Ed Whelan @EdWhelanEPPC]

As predicate for Trump's exercise of adjournment power, one House of Congress would seek other House's consent to adjourn and be denied. So Speaker of House would need to be complicit in evisceration of Senate's advice-and-consent role.

[David Solimini @CommsDirector]

So, hate to say it, but @MicrosoftEdge seems to have just about every feature that I found useful on @arcinternet in a more mature package. Yes, you have to turn off a bunch of cruft, but at that point it's pretty good.

[David Solimini @CommsDirector]

@barbaraslavin1 @atrupar @shannonrwatts Yours are paid by Saudi and will continue be needed again tomorrow! 🫠

[David Solimini @CommsDirector]

It's gonna get worse.

[Laura Bassett @LEBassett]

Russia calling in bomb threats to polling places in liberal districts across the country should be bigger news right now. They’re interfering for Trump right in the open, right in front of our faces

[David Solimini @CommsDirector]

Notable: RNC is NOT saying there was any malfeasance.

[A.J. Bayatpour @AJBayatpour]

A statement from the RNC blasts "slow ballot counting" in Milwaukee on top of the problem with seals being broken on tabulators, leading to the recount happening now.

WI Senate Republicans are the only reason Milwaukee didn't start processing its absentee ballots yesterday.

[David Solimini @CommsDirector]

You're nervous? Imagine how Ann Selzer must feel.

[Brendan Keefe - ANF & InvestigateTV @BrendanKeefe]

Five more polling places in DeKalb County have received bomb threats. Voting has been suspended at those precincts. This is a deliberate attempt to prevent Americans from casting ballots. FBI has linked today’s previous threats to Russians. Official release below

Fun fact: This person helped Donald Trump pressure Brad Raffensperger to "find" 12,000 votes for him... and the day after her law firm found out about it, she "resigned." She is not a credible person. https://t.co/Q59s9dzFOU

[Cleta Mitchell @CletaMitchell]

Update on noncitizen voting in Philly: Some are saying the location of the James O’Keefe reporting is a Philly Puerto Rican neighborhood. People born in Puerto Rico have rights of US citizenship but cannot vote in U.S. elections unless they live in U.S.
