यह नवनिर्मित मातृ-नवजात शिशु देखभाल इकाई (MNCU) का उद्देश्य माताओं और नवजात शिशुओं को जन्म के बाद एक साथ रखते हुए उनकी समग्र देखभाल सुनिश्चित करना है।

यह विशेष इकाई माताओं और नवजातों के बीच अनावश्यक अलगाव को समाप्त कर कंगारू मदर केयर (KMC) को बढ़ावा देती है, जिससे नवजात एवं शिशु मृत्यु दर में कमी लाने में सहायता मिलेगी। इस पहल में यूनिसेफ तकनीकी सहयोगी के रूप में सहयोग प्रदान कर रहा है।
