Our very own Andy Bradley and his Lancashire teammates this afternoon won the ECB 50+ County Championship after a thrilling last over 2 wicket win against Yorkshire.

Played at Attenborough CC in Nottingham, Andy picked up 2 wickets for 28 runs, helping restrict the White Rose County to 122 all out in the 44th over.

But the early losses of Lancs openers David Snellgrove and Stephen Dearden for just 2 runs really put the cat amongst the pigeons.

20+ run partnerships, firstly between Alan Murray and Chris Turner and then the latter with Jason Whittaker helped rebuild their innings before Brads added 10 runs to the Lancs total.

Now at 61-6 and with 15 overs remaining, this Roses final was on a knife edge.

The subsequent losses of Turner and then Paul Jenkins saw Lancs now 8 down with 5 overs left and 33 runs required.

Step up Iain Critchley and Marcus Sharp whose unbeaten 35 run stand for 9th wicket swung the pendulum back west, the former smashing a six off the first ball of the last over to secure the coveted trophy.

Congratulations to Dylan Kane and his team who won the 2XI Premier Cup following a 7 wicket win over Roe Green at Heys Road this afternoon.

There were pairs for Uwais Khaliq (2-40), Hassnain Ashfaq (2-27) and Dan McCall as the visitors recovered from 39-4 to set Prestwich a target of 165 to win.

And that win was cemented in mostly thanks to an outstanding second wicket partnership of 151 between Sam Baldwin and Jack Doyle as Prestwich reached their target with three and a half overs to spare.

Elsewhere the 3XIs title ambitions were knocked as they fell to a 7 wicket defeat against Littleborough Lakeside. But still with their fate in their own hands, tomorrows clash at home to Greenfield could prove pivotal as we enter the final month of the season.
