Computer teachers in Punjab have been serving government schools for over two decades, yet many of their long-standing promises remain unfulfilled. Approximately 6,640 of them continue to work under the Punjab Information and Communication Technology Education Society rather than as fully regularised employees of the Education Department, despite a government notification issued on 2 December 2010 and subsequent appointment letters in 2011.

Successive administrations, including commitments in election manifestos and a specific announcement by the Education Minister on 15 September 2022, had raised hopes of equal service conditions, pay benefits, and social security. These assurances have yet to translate into complete action on the ground.The human cost of the delay is particularly stark for the families of those who have passed away. Union representatives report that 114 computer teachers have died during their years of service, while five others have retired, without the full benefits that regular government employees routinely receive. Their dependents continue to await social security measures, death compensation policies, and employment opportunities on compassionate grounds—provisions commonly extended to the kin of other state employees.

This disparity has left many households in prolonged financial and emotional hardship.Recent protests organised by the Computer Teachers Union Punjab underscore the growing frustration. Teachers have staged demonstrations, including planned statewide actions around Independence Day, calling for implementation of the 2010 regularisation order, release of pending dearness allowance under earlier pay commission terms, and a clear death-benefit policy. They also point to a favourable High Court ruling that the government chose to challenge rather than implement. The collective appeal remains straightforward: fulfil the promises made to serving computer teachers and extend the same employment and support measures to the 114 aggrieved families of deceas

I am writing this appeal with a heavy heart to bring to your immediate attention a grave injustice within our state’s education department.
A dedicated Computer Teacher, who served the Punjab Government with unwavering commitment for 20 long years, has recently passed away. Despite having a regular appointment and spending two decades shaping the digital future of our students, his family now stands at a crossroads of financial ruin. They are being denied the standard death-cum-retirement benefits (DCRG), family pension, and ex-gratia grants that are naturally accorded to other government teachers.
The Core of the Injustice:
* Two Decades of Service: This teacher gave his youth and his professional life to the state’s mission of "Digital Punjab."
* Discriminatory Treatment: It is heartbreaking that after 20 years of "regular" service, a teacher is treated as a "second-class" employee upon death. The lack of a pension and social security for Computer Faculty is a violation of the principle of "Equal Pay for Equal Work" and the right to a dignified life for their dependents.
* Family in Crisis: While other government employees leave behind a safety net for their children and spouses, this teacher’s family has been left with nothing but grief and debt.
Our Prayers to the Government:
* Immediate Financial Assistance: Grant an immediate ex-gratia payment to the bereaved family to cover their urgent needs.
* Implementation of Full Benefits: Treat the service of Computer Faculty on par with the Education Department's regular cadre for the purpose of family pensions and death benefits.
* Compassionate Appointment: Provide a government job to one eligible member of the family to ensure their long-term survival.
The Computer Teachers of Punjab have been the backbone of our modern education system. To deny their families a livelihood after 20 years of service is not just an administrative lapse; it is a moral failure.
We urge you to intervene personally and ensure that this family receives the dignity and financial justice they deserve.

187 दिनों का विरोध: संगरूर में कंप्यूटर शिक्षकों के विरोध ने पंजाब सरकार की निष्क्रियता को उजागर किया संगरूर, पंजाब – 187 दिनों से पंजाब के कंप्यूटर शिक्षकों ने संगरूर में जिला प्रशासनिक परिसर के बाहर लगातार विरोध प्रदर्शन किया है, उनका अडिग धरना लंबे समय से लंबित अधिकारों को हासिल करने के उनके संकल्प का एक स्पष्ट प्रतीक है। धैर्य और धीरज से चिह्नित इस लंबे संघर्ष ने पंजाब सरकार की स्पष्ट उपेक्षा और शिक्षकों की वैध मांगों को संबोधित करने में विफलता को उजागर किया है, जिसने सुधार के अपने वादों पर ग्रहण लगा दिया है। कंप्यूटर शिक्षक संघर्ष समिति द्वारा संचालित विरोध प्रदर्शन, शिक्षकों द्वारा राज्य द्वारा विश्वासघात के रूप में वर्णित न्याय के लिए रोने के रूप में शुरू हुआ। उनकी प्रमुख मांगों में पंजाब सूचना एवं संचार प्रौद्योगिकी शिक्षा सोसाइटी (PICTES) से कंप्यूटर शिक्षकों का पंजाब शिक्षा विभाग में स्थानांतरण, छठे वेतन आयोग का कार्यान्वयन, 2021 से रुके हुए महंगाई भत्ते (DA) में संशोधन और नवंबर 2024 में शुरू किए गए प्रतिबंधात्मक नए सेवा नियमों को खत्म करना शामिल है। ये मांगें उचित वेतन, नौकरी की सुरक्षा और पंजाब की शिक्षा प्रणाली में उनकी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका की मान्यता के लिए एक व्यापक आह्वान को दर्शाती हैं। शिक्षकों की दृढ़ निगरानी बलिदान के बिना नहीं रही है। ठंडी रातों और चिलचिलाती धूप के दिनों का सामना करते हुए, उन्होंने रिले भूख हड़ताल और प्रदर्शनों के माध्यम से एकजुटता बनाए रखी है, समय बीतने के बावजूद उनकी दृढ़ता अडिग है। विरोध में एक उल्लेखनीय क्षण तब आया जब शिक्षक जॉनी सिंगला ने दिसंबर 2024 में आमरण अनशन किया, केवल 13 दिनों के बाद पुलिस द्वारा जबरन हटा दिया गया और पटियाला के एक अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया। निडर होकर, एक अन्य शिक्षक, रंजीत सिंह ने आंदोलन को जीवित रखने के लिए अपनी भूख हड़ताल शुरू करते हुए, मोर्चा संभाला। इस तरह की अवज्ञाकारी हरकतें सरकार के प्रति उनकी हताशा की गहराई को रेखांकित करती हैं, जिस पर वे अनसुना करने का आरोप लगाते हैं। पंजाब सरकार की प्रतिक्रिया या उसकी कमी ने गतिरोध को और बढ़ा दिया है। मुख्यमंत्री भगवंत मान के आवास के बाहर पहले विरोध प्रदर्शन के दौरान वित्त मंत्री हरपाल सिंह चीमा और शिक्षा मंत्री हरजोत सिंह बैंस जैसे अधिकारियों के आश्वासन के बावजूद कोई ठोस कार्रवाई नहीं हुई है। शिक्षकों का आरोप है कि दिवाली 2022 से किए गए वादे अभी तक पूरे नहीं हुए हैं, तीन त्यौहारी सीजन बिना किसी समाधान के बीत गए हैं। इस निष्क्रियता ने उनके अन्याय की भावना को और गहरा कर दिया है, जिसमें यूनियन के नेता पांचवें वेतन आयोग के तहत उनके वेतन और छठे वेतन आयोग के तहत अन्य राज्य कर्मचारियों को मिलने वाले लाभों के बीच असमानता की निंदा कर रहे हैं।

Computer teachers in Punjab are on strike for 187 days. Aam Aadmi Party had promised to fulfill their demands in its manifesto, even after three years the government could not do anything for them. On the other hand, farmers unions in Punjab held a meeting with CM Bhagwant Mann but Bhagwant Mann himself and his government are presenting themselves as dictators. Aam Aadmi Party is misleading people against the strike of Tehsildars in Punjab, but news of corruption has come out against many leaders of Aam Aadmi Party, but Aam Aadmi Party has adopted double standards for them.

अगर आप पंजाब की शिक्षा क्रांति के झूठे और मनगढ़ंत प्रचार से प्रभावित हैं तो आपको पंजाब की शिक्षा और एजुकेशन सिस्टम को डिजिटल करने वाले अध्यापकों की दुर्दशा देखने की जरूरत है।
पंजाब का कंप्यूटर शिक्षक एक ऐसा वर्ग है जिसके पास पिछले 13 साल से रेगुलर नियुक्ति पत्र तो है परंतु उसे लागू नहीं किया गया।
आम आदमीपार्टी ने इन शिक्षकों के साथ वायदा किया कि सत्ता में आने के बाद उनके नियुक्ति पत्र किसभी शर्तों को लागू किया जाएगा, मगर अफसोस आम आदमी पार्टी की सरकार ने उनके साथ हो रहे अत्याचार को ओर वो बढ़ा दिया।
कंप्यूटर अध्यापक लगभग 180 दिन से संगरूर में धरने , भूख हड़ताल ओर मरण व्रत तक कर रहे है मगर आम आदमी पार्टी के मंत्री मीटिंग्स देते है और एन मौके पर मीटिंग रद्द कर देते है।
अपने चुनावी वायदों के प्रति इतनी असंवेदनशीलता शायद ही किसी सरकार ने नहीं दिखाई होगी।

पंजाब के कंप्यूटर अध्यापकों को पंजाब की आप सरकार द्वारा दिल्ली इलेक्शन से पहले बहुत सी मीटिंग्स दी गई ।
और इन मीटिंगों में कंप्यूटर अध्यापकों की समस्याओं का कोई हल निकालने की बातें कहीं गई ।
मगर दिल्ली इलेक्शन जाते ही फिर वही मीटिंग का सिलसिला सरकार की तरफ से शुरू कर दिया गया ।
लेकिन सरकार की मीटिंग्स कंप्यूटर अध्यापकों को आम आदमी पार्टी की तरफ से किए गए वायदे को पूरा करने के लिए नहीं लग रही।
ऐसा प्रतीत हो रहा है की इन मीटिंग के जरिए सरकार सिर्फ समय व्यतीत कर रही है और पिछले 3 साल की तरह सरकार कंप्यूटर अध्यापकों को लारे लगा रही है।
जिसके चलते कंप्यूटर अध्यापकों ने अपने संगरूर धरने , और संघर्ष को तेज करने का निर्णय लिया है
जिसके लिए अपनी सहयोगी अध्यापक यूनियंस DTF ने भी कंप्यूटर िन अध्यापकों ने धरने में 167 वें द हाजिर होने के लिए अपनी ब्लॉक स्तरीय टीमों का रोस्टर जारी किया है।

पंजाब की लगभग सभी किसान , मजदूर और मुलाजिम जत्थेबंदियों द्वारा कंप्यूटर अध्यापकों के संघर्ष को प्रोत्साहित किया जा रहा है।
कंप्यूटर अध्यापकों का पक्का धरना 152 वें दिन में दाखिल हो चुका है। लेकिन पंजाब सरकार दिल्ली विधान सभा चुनावों में तो पंजाब की शिक्षा क्रांति की बातें कर रही है जबकि धरातल पर कहानी कुछ और ही है। पंजाब में लगभग 10 स्कूलों में से एक में प्रिंसिपल और मुख्याध्यापक ही पोस्ट ही भरी हुई है।
अध्यापकों के लिखती अधिकारों का हनन किया जा रहा है।
कंप्यूटर अध्यापकों को अपने हकों के लिए दिल्ली में रैली करनी पड़ेगी क्योंकि पंजाब की समूह आम आदमी पार्टी की लीडरशिप पंजाब को लावारिस छोड़ कर दिल्ली में बैठी है।

पंजाब की निकम्मी सरकार ने फिर किया कंप्यूटर अध्यापकों के अरमानों का खून।
कंप्यूटर अध्यापकों का संघर्ष छठे वेतन आयोग और शिक्षा विभाग में मर्जिंग को लेकर था।
लेकिन सरकार ने अपना करूर चेहरा दिखाते हुए कंप्यूटर अध्यापकों को ना मात्र DA का लेटर जारी करके उनके जख्मों को फिर से कुरेद डाला है। पंजाब सरकार का और रिवाइज्ड पे स्केल पर महंगाई भत्ता 250 से भी ज्यादा बनता है जबकि सरकार ने 181 परसेंट महंगाई भत्ता जारी करके कंप्यूटर अध्यापकों की भावनाओं के साथ खिलवाड़ करने की कोशिश की है।
पंजाब के कंप्यूटर अध्यापक सरकार की ओर से जारी पत्र को असवीकार करते हैं और इस पत्र की कॉपियां जला रहे हैं ।
कंप्यूटर अध्यापक अब दिल्ली में जाकर घर-घर में पंजाब सरकार की असफलता और धोखाधड़ी को उजागर करेंगे।
वैसे भी पंजाब सरकार हर फ्रंट पर फेल साबित हुई है, और जनता पंजाब में आम आदमी पार्टी को अगले चुनाव में करारी से करारी हार देने के लिए तैयार बैठी है।
