@gu47351@mjdaly57@XRLeftie@UKLabour Burnham doesn't have the taint of genocide, come the election, he'll say he was busy with bus contracts in Manchester.
Not me guv!
@archpng I grew up in a time of coal fires, delivered by horse drawn carriages. There's no way I'd choose to go back to that period.
No 8. To the times it's art and to the art it's freedom.
The media sold Keir Starmer as 'forensic, decent & capable' PM
He was NEVER any of those, as we made clear yrs ago:
"Starmer is a LIAR in charge of a brutal, authoritarian, inhuman political machine, but you simply wouldn't know about that if you read or watched British media"
@DanielLDavis1@ramzpaul We don't have diplomats. We send a pair of Jewish real estate developers with deep ties to Israel. Divorce lawyers would be a step up.
Vance pops in, presents totally different terms than Trump agreed to a few days ago, then leaves when they aren't instantly accepted.
@RyLiberty@propandco Brainwashing! You have no idea what it was like to grow up in a world without alternative sources of information.
There literally was no internet and everything came through the mainstream media. People's ideas become fixed, they no longer want to waste time figuring it out.
@charise_lee I grew up in a matriarchy in London. Queen Elizabeth, Margaret Thatcher and women in all the educational leadership positions. The only male leadership was in the hard jobs like construction, the women only wanted the soft jobs. It was the same neoliberal bs as the Reagan era.
@cryptomessenger@RealScottRitter Possibly it's to prop up one of the gulf's many despotic regimes? With the added bonus of making it look as though you're doing something!

@Hazelcns@RTSG_News I agree, the decision by the new Japanese prime minister to remilitarise Japan and her threats against China over the former Japanese colony on Taiwan, bring us all closer to the Thucydides trap.
@AidanSumnerG@Heccles94 Queen Boudicca, who fought the Roman invasion and has her chariot statue outside Parliament, was a Celt who lived in Britain and spoke the Brythonic Celtic language.
Brits are 70% Celtic by DNA.
@Pando_pop@Heccles94 True but it's where the name Britain comes from.
Herodotus, the father of history, popularises this term during this period of Celtic rule and the name stays with us today.
@chris_poland11@SpeakerPelosi Discrimination is still enforced. I was required to register for Selective Service before I could register for college classes but my female classmates were exempt and refused to even discuss it.
@tartantory69@LizWebsterSBF@EdwynNich2828 That's a very colonial view.
In a free society they could debate the merits and perhaps choose to require the US to reverse their actions.
@EdwynNich2828@LizWebsterSBF Sovereignty means that Britain voted to leave the European Union that is proof we have sovereignty.
By contrast Scotland is unable to even have a referendum on leaving the UK that is proof of a lack of sovereignty.
Sovereignty is having the power to make decisions for yourself.
