you’re planning travel to a gig in St. Anne’s Pk, coming from Limerick. You’re ok to drive but MCD are telling you to use public transport. MCD don’t offer any actual travel detail but links to 3rd parties. Eventually you find the St. Anne’s Pk info on @dublinbusnews site.
Very disappointing headline and article in the @IrishTimes. We’re living through the worst biodiversity crisis and this spew is exactly why some people struggle to get on board with the idea of working with, not against nature
Duke of Devonshire's exclusive Mayfair bookshop occupied as fury grows over his decision to raise rents to Irish farmers from £500 to £5,000
His ancestors stole this land in 1753; this mad rent rise will force farmers off land that they have cultivated for hundreds of years

@BatConservIre hey folks. How unusual is it to see a bat hunting during the day? I watched this one for about 15 minutes. I’d assume it would need to be struggling coming out at the end of hibernation to risk this…
Every Sunday I go to Costco and look for people pulling up in $125,000 cars who stand in line for 22 minutes to return a $8.99 item.
I’ll ask them where they work and then go long the stock.
I’m up 270% this year.
@Mick_Mcgonigle@KCrowley99 You did ignore his point. And what’s the solar farm got to do with the price of electricity? I thought it was the land use you’re complaining about? Why not throw the Catholic Church or fox hunting into the conversation for the craic.
A cow is a nutrient elevator.
Grass grows, pulls minerals from deep in soil (roots go down 3+ metres). Cow eats grass. Cow concentrates those minerals. Cow poops on surface.
Result: Deep soil minerals moved to topsoil where other plants can access them.
Without grazing animals, those minerals stay deep. Surface soil becomes depleted. Plants struggle.
This is why virgin prairie (never grazed) is actually LESS productive than grazed prairie. The nutrient cycling breaks without ruminants.
Cattle are literally mining the subsoil and depositing wealth on the surface.
For free. Using grass.
Your synthetic fertilizer does this using natural gas and industrial processing.
Which one is sustainable?
