@BrainInjuryNJ Be hyper-aware of change in symptoms in any way - including anxiety/depression. Concussions can be isolating. Maintain close contact with guidance counselor, teachers, and monitor workload - look for ability to complete it, does it take longer, are symptoms exacerbated
@BrainInjuryNJ Return to play and Return to learn should be individualized because every concussion is different and presents in different ways/symptoms; all should be treated w/conservative protocols; don’t rush anything!
@BrainInjuryNJ Of course, remove from play, sideline evaluation if possible, locker room to minimize symptoms (noise, lights, etc) emergency room visit or see dr asap
