@MrsMillsOBA It is vital to make sure your information is up to date. Even something like a missing child poster or news report shared on Facebook. Often, when you click on it, it is from years ago, and many have been canceled or are no longer relevant. Always check the date.
Child and Youth Care Forum is a professional journal about children services. I love that it is multifaceted in its submissions. It has many different areas it gleans from, including child psychology and educational psychology. It looks from a number of directions.
I do not teach in a classroom yet. I do have online ESL teaching experience using interactive online powerpoints and video chats. I did use Google slides quite often to engage students. A fellow teacher made a free collection of fun, animated rewards and games.

@edutopia@Hcarr4413 I really love this idea! A SPED teacher, whose room I work a lot in as a substitute aid, always asks "How can we solve this problem?" when students come to her with different issues (spilled water, torn paper, ect.).
@Ray_118163122 Awesome! I think literacy is related to many different areas. I firmly believe if you can teach some one to read and comprehend what they read, you open the door and give them the keys to much much more!
Alabama Reading Initiative is a program that seeks to create and use partnerships within the realms of K-12 students and stakeholders in order to increase and promote literacy. It uses reading coaches, professional development, collaborative efforts, and high quality instruction.
