గిట్టుబాటు ధర లేక అరటి రైతులు పడుతున్న ఆవేదన ప్రపంచానికి తెలియాలని , ప్రభుత్వం చేస్తున్న మోసాన్ని ఎండగట్టాలని, స్వయంగా నేనే అరటి గెలలతో కూడిన రవాణా వాహనాన్ని నడుపుకుంటూ కడప జిల్లా కలెక్టర్ కార్యాలయానికి వెళ్లడం జరిగింది. రైతుకి జరిగిన నష్టంలో సర్కారు నిర్లక్ష్యమా లేక యుద్ధ ప్రభావమా, మరోపక్క వ్యాపారుల మాయాజాలమా అని కాలయాపన చేయకుండా తక్షణం అరటి రైతులను ఆదుకోవాలని, కష్టకాలంలో గిట్టుబాటు ధరకు ప్రభుత్వమే అరటిపండ్లను కొని సంక్షేమ పాఠశాలలకు మిడ్ డే మీల్స్ పథకంలో మరింత పౌష్టిక ఆహారంగా బిడ్డలకు ఇవ్వాలని, అరటి గెలలను స్టోరేజి చేసుకునే విధంగా జిల్లాలో వెంటనే శీతల గిడ్డంగులను తెరవాలని కోరడమైనది.

అరటి రైతులది అరణ్య రోదన. సిరులు కురిపించిన పంట నేడు రైతన్న కంట కన్నీరు పెట్టిస్తోంది. ఆరుగాలం శ్రమిస్తే ప్రకృతి వైపరీత్యాలు ఒకవైపు, దళారుల మాయాజాలం మరొకవైపు.. ఇంకోపక్క అనుకొని యుద్ధాలు.. అరటి రైతులను అష్టకష్టాల పాలు చేస్తున్నాయి. ఎకరాకు 3 లక్షల వరకు పెట్టుబడి పోసి పంట తీస్తే, చేతికొచ్చిన సమయానికి టన్నుకు గిట్టుబాటు ధర కనీసం 15 వేలైనా లేకుంటే ఎలా ? 3 వేలు , 4 వేలు ధర పెడితే పెట్టుబడి మందమైన రాక రైతన్న వ్యవసాయాన్ని చేయగలడా ? YSR కడప జిల్లా, పులివెందుల నియోజకవర్గం, సింహాద్రిపురం మండలం కస్నూరు గ్రామ పరిధిలో ఇటీవల అకాల వర్షాలకు దెబ్బతిన్న అరటి పంటను పరిశీలించడం జరిగింది. ఈ సందర్భంగా అరటి రైతులు ఆవేదన వర్ణనాతీతం. వారి కష్టాలు విని, కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ పక్షాన న్యాయం కోసం పోరాడుతామని, గిట్టుబాటు ధర కోసం ఉద్యమిస్తామని హామీ ఇవ్వడమైనది.
