Understand that sushi only licensed the contract from them for a fee, but for a real open source protocol should require that contracts for the protocol are open source and provide bounty / grants, not allow closed permission / gatekeeping / rent seeking.

Saddens me when projects pretend to value open source and decentralization then copyright / licence their contracts. Any protocol without open source systems should be seen as anti-crypto and hostile to real permissionlessness
