This month saw Senior Fresh (second year) General Nursing students take part in the first two-week community placement in a GP Practice, at the Russell Centre, Tallaght Cross, incorporating Mary Mercer Primary Healthcare Centre, Jobstown.
This new placement will allow students to gain experience in a wide range of areas including chronic disease management, women's health screening, minor surgery clinics and wound care for example. It is hoped that this initiative will expand to other GP practices in the future.

Great start to this excellent course. So informative and delivered in such an interesting format. A great way to raise the bar for all of us #GPNs so we can help empower and educate both the women we care for & the colleagues around us. @deirdre_lundy@CATSKEYE1 @PracticeNurses
To think 11 years ago we walked under Front Arch of @tcddublin as little baby nurses 🥺 Oh how time has flown. Still feels like yesterday we were trembling walking onto the wards on that first day 💗
