Ever wonder why we have so much traffic in #WPB? When everyone drives, no one gets anywhere fast. Join us in changing the balance and giving people options for how to get around. The more people who choose to not drive alone, the better our traffic will get.

Let's pedal towards a healthier future together!
"The right tool for the job..." isn't always a big-ass honking pick-up.
Picking up groceries with an F-150 is like...
Cracking nuts with a sledgehammer
or Making toast with a flamethrower.
6 out of 10 trips are under 5 miles; usually a smaller vehicle will do...

The MUTCD—initially a document to standardize signage on rural roads—has evolved, awkwardly, to govern every street in the nation.
The new edition makes important steps toward a safer transportation system, but fails to include many necessary reforms.

Some transit agencies don’t seem to be asking the most urgent question about Zero Emission Buses: How much more service could we run, and how many internal combustion cars could we get off the road by attracting new riders, if we weren’t doing this? 1/ https://t.co/k3FOCjCdrB
Reminder that the ONLY way to reduce traffic is for people to drive less.
Electric and self-driving cars won't reduce traffic. Widening highways won't reduce traffic. Removing bike lanes won't reduce traffic. Allowing people to drive fast won't reduce traffic.

Operations Update: Brightline will cease operations all day Wednesday (10.9) and Thursday (10.10) between West Palm Beach and Orlando in advance of Hurricane Milton.
Service between all South Florida stations is expected to continue with 14 roundtrips both days. We will continue to monitor the storm and provide additional updates as needed.
On Tuesday (10.8), Brightline’s 7:45 pm northbound departure from Miami will terminate in West Palm Beach. All other Tuesday departures will operate as scheduled.
We will resume full operations after an assessment of track conditions once the storm has passed. Passengers who currently have a reservation should refer to their email for updates to their trip.

“The harms imposed by the Rivian are three times the harms imposed by the Prius, in terms of air pollution and death from accidents, but we are subsidizing the Rivian and not the Prius.”

Housing prices are controlled by supply and demand.
But not all supply is created equal.
For example: A city that only builds new studio apartments won’t become more affordable for families.
Great cities need housing in all shapes, sizes, and price ranges.
The Director of City Planning in Minneapolis said, "No single legislative action did more to contribute to housing creation than the elimination of parking minimums.”https://t.co/FF6nyxpGU8
