On the anniversary of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire, America’s unions mourn the 146 lives lost on that tragic day, many of whom were immigrant women. More than a century later, the labor movement must continue to stand in solidarity and protect workers’ safety on the job.
From everyone at ConnectiCOSH, we wish to take this moment to honor the lives of the workers who tragically lost their lives during the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire. #RemembertheTriangle
“As union members regardless of industry, we stand together for what’s right - just as workers including journalists did more than a century ago after the tragic fire that took so many lives," said @susandecarava at today's #RememberTheTriangle@CentralLaborNYC
