🚨 TELL GOVERNOR TO VETO THE CASINO 🚫
The legislature approved a casino in Tysons, and now, the bill is on Gov. Spanberger’s desk. Ask her to veto it.

I voted against a bill to allow a casino in Fairfax today. Unfortunately, it passed the Senate. The Fairfax Board determined that planning, infrastructure, safety, transportation, national security & other concerns outweigh the benefits — Fairfax has said no. This speaks volumes.
Congratuations👍to @JenniferBoysko & @JoshuaCole for getting a bill restricting personal use of campaign funds finally over the goal line. After a decade, it was finally signed into law by the Governor yesterday. One step closer to broad based campaign finance reform.
@TylerEnglander@ssurovell Remember that it was always a CASINO billl, no matter how many times the patron called it an entertainment bill. Thank you @JenniferBoysko for standing up and speaking out.
@notlarrysabato Good grief. You have nothing better to do than distort things from over a year ago to now? We are regular people, not lobbyists, not paid by developers, etc. and all you've got is merging our explanation about Jan 2024 with now? How pitiful you are. They pay you for this?
New: Fairfax County Chair Jeff McKay weighs in on the Tysons casino bill, telling Virginia lawmakers, “since a community engagement process was not conducted prior to the bills being introduced in this and previous sessions, as it was in other jurisdictions, we believe the bill in its current form is likely to result in strong community opposition to any future referendum.”
Fairfax supervisors still sound pretty down on Tysons casino plan in a draft letter to GA leaders. Copy obtained by The Post says they do not seek power to call casino referendum “unless we intend to seriously consider implementing such authority.” https://t.co/vXl8Mqhbn2
I just wrote a letter: Send emails to members of the Senate P&E Committee. It's time to pass campaign finance bills.. Write one here: https://t.co/UDeITPQho1
@notlarrysabato How much did the casino lobby pay that 22-year-old to give an anti-union rant, which is ABSOLUTELY NOT the stance of the No Fairfax Casino Coalition? He made no eye contact with us as he left, as he could clearly see we were appalled by his words, and we knew he was a plant.

@NavyYardNats@notlarrysabato Oh really? Tell that to me and my colleagues who have spent HOURS and HOURS on this project. If I didn't work for myself and she weren't retired, we would have been fired by our employers for the HOURS we have spent on this. I call B.S. on your claim.
