In 2023, Shoffner published an op-ed titled “What to Do About Climate Anxiety.”

In the article, Shoffner demands that Americans consume less meat in the name of “fighting climate change”.

She said,

“Consider eating less meat: For many of us, giving up our favorite hamburger or steak dinner is a non-starter. Fortunately, we don’t have to cut these items completely from our diets to make a difference. Data shows that reducing our meat consumption by a small amount—even down to once or twice a week—can significantly help reduce methane emissions,” Shoffner said.

It’s ironic how Shoffner sells herself as a “farmer.” What type of farmer supports meat restrictions?

It’s also important to note that Shoffner has donated to Kamala Harris 25 times, and in 2019, Kamala issued a similar red meat decree during an appearance on CNN:

"And I think that um but there has to be also what we do in terms of creating incentives that we will eat in a healthy way that we will encourage moderation and that we will be educated about the effect of our eating habits on our environment and we have to do a much better job of that and the government has to do a much better job of that."

The facts are clear: When it comes to Green New Deal policies, Shoffner will stand with Kamala Harris over Arkansa voters and farmers.
