@criticofpolecon You're not mentioning a crucial geographical factor that gives them added leverage. Bolivia is a landlocked mountainous country with a handful of highways. That means a heavy dependence on road traffic to move goods/services/people. Doesn't take a large number to shut it down.

The local DSA chapter has, to no one's surprise, been attracting new members. The philosophical challenge so to speak seems to be one of retaining a coherent ideological structure amidst a big tent of anarchists, maoists, left-liberals, marxists, etc.
