@C0NFLICTEDKYL0 Once the sky darkened, they both decided to turn in for the night. They gathered their things and Ben walked Kaydel to her quarters.
“I had a really good time, Ben. Thank you for everything.”
She somehow worked up the courage to reach herself up and kiss him.

“Our spot at 1700.” She whispered to herself as she checked herself in the mirror one last time.
She left her quarters and began wandering to the spot she once showed Ben, which was now deemed theirs.
@C0NFLICTEDKYL0 “It’s perfect, truly. Thank you so much for this.”
She smiled up at him as they walked to the blanket. They both sat down and she watched as Ben got out what food he had prepared.
“This looks delicious.”
@C0NFLICTEDKYL0 @Flirty_Flyboy “Yeah, Ben! What’s up?”
She turned and smiled at him. He looked nervous about something, and had been acting weird lately.
“Is something wrong?”
@C0NFLICTEDKYL0 “We fight. We fight for the galaxy, for the Resistance, for each other. That’s all we really can do.”
She slid her hand into his and they began walking back to the base.
@C0NFLICTEDKYL0 “Hey, nothing’s going to happen to me.”
She grabbed his hand and squeezed it gently, reassuring him.
“Everything will be okay one day.”
@C0NFLICTEDKYL0 “I suppose there’s nothing we really can do, except be as prepared for an attack as possible.”
She looked at him, she could tell he was worried just by the look in his eyes.
“Whatever may happen, Ben, just never lose hope. One day this war will be over and there will be peace.”
@C0NFLICTEDKYL0 “Much.. I’m sorry I interrupted you. I- I guess I just wanted to try it too?”
She felt bad, realising he probably came out here to be alone.
@C0NFLICTEDKYL0 “Okay.”
She did as he said, first concentrating on her breathing, then focusing on the negative energy.
She pictured it as a red steam flowing out of her and into its own little ball, eventually fading into the nothingness, just disappearing.
@C0NFLICTEDKYL0 She didn’t want to interrupt him, so she observed his positioning and tried it herself. She had never meditated before, but she thought she’d try.
After minutes of just sitting there, she began getting frustrated. Do you really just sit there? Or is she just not doing it right?
