@PlinthBotherer5 Some of his ideas here are great - better, cheaper public transport, better deals for workers! But they only work when you sell them to the probate sector as growth inducing rather than being actively anti-growth. And ultimately, growth is what pays for those big plans.
not to be flippant but I think that most of the people here saying Zohran committed *genocide* have severe personality disorders and it’s merely a result of circumstance that they’re here instead of storming the capitol on Jan 6th
@lighthouseace People fall into a downward spiral of learned helpless because they begin to understand their condition and the sheer effort needed live and decide that its fine to destroy a lifes work of adaptation and tenacity so they can rot in the warm embrace of the victims innocence
In 1977, Anita Bryant's "Save Our Children" argued against the "dangers" of "acquired homosexuality."
And that's before we even begin to talk about the fears about "the gay agenda."
But, please do rewrite history to suit your fashionable transphobia.
Meant to cycle 8 miles or so to the local bike shop and then get the train home. But they didn’t have the stock they promised, so I cycled to another shop out of spite. And then the next. Until I’d done 23 miles that I totally hadn’t prepared for… #cycling
@Ocar2z9g The issue being that almost every other job in the country bans this nowadays. It’s all well and good to represent the culture you’re working for/towards, but I think drinking in Parliament is now seen as MPs getting allowances that the regular public aren’t allowed any more.
I HATE when people use ADHD as an excuse to use their phone in a cinema.
Because you know who’s gonna get distracted by your phone? The guy with ADHD in the row behind you who turned off his phone to enjoy the film in a space with rules that keep him from being distracted (me).
A doctor would laugh you out of the room if you tried telling them you need a phone in the theater for your disability. ADHD people watched movies for decades without phones. Being an adult means managing your disability in a manner which doesn’t disrupt others
I know it’s not fashionable to say, but I’m a big believer in public service broadcasting, and I’d support this. Let’s not kill off another great British institution!
Not to sound like a boomer but this generation is defined by learned helplessness. People use autism or ADHD as an excuse to wave away any accountability for themselves instead of adapting to being an adult
I’ve NEVER been the perfect employee. I often showed up late. ADHD meant that I had a really hard time with certain deadlines and organizing my time. My saving grace was being p good at my job despite those shortcomings, having a good personality/presense, and networking.
@bosdovja92 There’s a massive difference in commitment between watching 2 minute clips on TikTok and tuning in for an hour a night. The point of a trailer/sneak peek is to draw viewers in and it’s not going to succeed in doing so either 100% of people.
