@mjd7718@PolySci_NG@joedSilence@tdgator9 The American football practice is endurance where they train for 10 hours a day, sprinting, jogging, weight lifting everyone from the punter to the O linemen that’s why it’s one of the worst sports to try to compare to soccer because the conditioning is one of the most demanding.
@PolySci_NG@joedSilence@mjd7718@tdgator9 They’re SPRINTING 2km a game in bursts, they could jog for 15km easily, but they’re specializing in what they need for their sport
@PolySci_NG@joedSilence@mjd7718@tdgator9 Messi, Haaland most strikers barely jog at all with the exception of the dictator, they just roam about on a leisurely walk until they feel a goal.
Every NFL O lineman jogs for 2 hours while sprinting full speed bursts, they have better conditioning than any soccer player.
@orb_net@cremieuxrecueil Basically a reverse of Olympic basketball, where European players earn in the USA then go represent their home country. If the talent gets paid they’ll stay
@mjd7718@tdgator9 Offensive linemen is one of the worst examples, they’re incredibly tall strong athletes that purposefully eat in surplus to maintain weight throughout their careers like sumo wrestlers. Most of them can sprint faster than any soccer player for 90minutes. Should’ve picked punters.
@DubbyDope@yooneedmorejodi Paraguay parked the bus and played so conservative (minus their fouling) that it was boring.
Cabo Verde played fluid open football as though they believed they were equal to a top 5 team like Argentina. They only gave up goals where 3-4 players attacked, 1-on-1 there were 7 saves
