Overlooking the Roman fort of Canovium.
I get the impression being overlooked was not a consideration to them, especially as the river crossing it guarded was a mile away. You can't help feeling they'd have enjoyed living here, ambushes and death being exempted? 10. 4. 2026
High Level Drone Video Caerhun Canovium & Lower Carneddau Sunday 10th May.
This video is brilliant, I can say that as it's not my drone.
It's from a very difficult to reach location.
The valley edge is about 400ft high and the drone can reach over 300ft, I think it goes higher.
Canovium v Pen y Gaer Romans 4 - Brits 0, it's always possible the fort seen to the left on the first sweep could have been put here for one of several reasons A tidal river B mountain route C Conwy divides the moorland of Denbighshire - mountains of Caernarfonshire D Briton Fort
A wide and panoramic west facing shot of the Conwy Valley.
The Roman fort just right of centre right above the bank of the Conwy, possibly how they'd have seen it before the growth of the marsh which is just detectable by the line of surf.
@TheExtremeMusi1 Editors at Birmingham Forum about 4 years ago, bad sound, no interaction. Singer looked bored. Not listened to a single Editors song since.
Caerhun Drone Photos - Amazing Quality.
First the 'Roman dock' likely Roman but with later additions, in Victorian times a cottage stood on it. Second, south view, flooded river marsh caused by silting from a stream up against the dock - Afon Roe - my opinion.
@Zacctastic Church wall was built pretty much following the N/E corner yes and started at the north gate and ended at the east, the church area occupies 1/4 of the entire fort area.
