Forced Iranian conscripts are victims, not IRGC supporters. We support Canada's security and IRGC terrorist listing. Forced service ≠ voluntary membership.
A child born in Canada knows only one home. Their future should not be overshadowed by military service their parent never chose.
Protect childhood. Protect family unity.

MPs, please pressure the Cabinet instead of remaining silent!
After all the misleading assurances from IRCC, I deserve an honest answer before it’s too late. I cannot stay in Canada waiting to be deported to the very regime that slaughters its opponents. We deserve the truth!
As an Iranian man over 18, you cannot simply obtain a passport or other necessary documents needed to live a normal life without dealing with the Mullahs' regime mandatory conscription requirements.
For many men, the only practical option is to complete approximately two years of compulsory service as a free labor
In Iran, refusing forced conscription means no passport, no degree, no job. Canada is now penalizing people for surviving that system.

The psychological toll on families waiting in uncertainty is unbearable. Iranian immigrants who served solely as mandatory conscripts face endless hurdles, leaving parents and youth anxious about their future in Canada. Conscription must not equal a lifelong obstacle.

They escaped a country where saying NO could destroy their lives. They came to Canada believing justice would protect them. Please don't turn their compulsory conscription into another lifetime of punishment.

From political prisoner to human rights advocate, Ardeshir Zarezadeh has spent decades fighting the IRGC.
He endured imprisonment in Iran, stood against the regime, and dedicated years of advocacy to holding the IRGC accountable in Canada.
Yet two years after the IRGC’s designation, he is witnessing a deeply troubling outcome: former conscripts and their families facing immigration consequences for compulsory service they had no meaningful choice in undertaking.
At our September 22 gathering on Parliament Hill, Ardeshir delivered a powerful message:
“Conscripts are already victims of the Islamic regime’s cruel laws, and they have no choice, no intention, and no ideological belonging to the regime to go serve in the IRGC.”
This is not what the fight for accountability was meant to achieve.
Those who stood against the regime should not have to watch innocent people and their families bear the consequences of a system they never chose.
Canada must distinguish between voluntary IRGC membership and mandatory conscription, protect affected families, and focus its resources on those genuinely responsible.
Thank you, @Ardeshirz, for your advocacy and solidarity with affected families.
Accountability for perpetrators. Protection for conscripts.
Conscription ≠ IRGC membership.
