💥Postoperative #vasoplegia develops in approximately one third of #LVAD implants.
💥Postoperative #vasoplegia is associated with significantly worse short- and long-term mortality☠️, increased bleeding🩸 and longer hospital stay🏥.
💥We identified male sex🤷‍♂️ and body mass index as significant adjusted risk factors for #vasoplegia, while higher preoperative blood pressure was protective.
💥Our findings indicate that #vasoplegia is a frequent and prognostically significant complication after #LVAD implantation.
