This afternoon, I officially closed a four-day consultative forum held at the Maanzoni Hotel in Machakos County. The forum was focused on mapping and reengineering land administration and management processes in preparation for digital transformation.

The event brought together officials from the @NLC_Kenya , the @Lands_Kenya , and the @FAOKenya , under the European Union/FAO Digital Land Governance Programme. Its main objective was to review existing workflows and develop an integrated digital framework for land governance.

The National Land Commission greatly appreciates the support provided by the FAO, in partnership with the European Union through the Digital Land Governance Programme, which has been instrumental in advancing the Commission’s automation journey.

The official closure ceremony was also graced by Commissioner FCPA @KhakasaSusan Oyatsi, underscoring the commission's high-level commitment to transforming land governance in Kenya.

Julia Njoki dies in Police Custody after collapsing following injuries of assault from the police

Julia Njoki who was arrested during the SabaSaba maandamano in Nanyuki is dead.

She collapsed while custody after allegedly being assaulted by police during her arrest sustaining multiple head injuries.

When she was taken to Nanyuki Teaching and Referral Hospital, the police reported her head injuries as a result of collapsing.

A doctor at the hospital clarified that she had to fall from a significant height to have the type of internal bleeding she had.
