The Food Park construction, one of district’s flagship urban development projects, is 90% complete and expected to be finalized by the end of June 2026. Officially launched on February 20, 2025, the project is being implemented with a budget of Rwf 1.307 billion funded by LODA.

According to the Belt and Road Portal (https://t.co/145e8IfRAP), the Rwanda Muhanga–Nyange Road Project, undertaken by a Chinese enterprise, was officially signed in March 2024., with a construction period of 24 months. The project is progressing steadily.
Construction is underway at the Nyabisindu rehousing site, where 1,639 housing units are being built to transform an informal settlement into a planned community. The project is also providing jobs for more than 2,000 workers.
