Whilst this is interesting in itself, it also highlights a worthy look at unintended outcomes - like the impact of increased travel on global warming and the environment, resulting in increased environmental disasters and severe weather events.
The statistical data reveal that there is a 1 in 11 million chance that a person will be killed in a plane crash. If one compares the safety of planes relative to cars on a per-mile basis, the likelihood of being killed in a car is 720 times greater than that of flying.
