BNP's ward walk has brought attention to the growing garbage dumping around Begur Lake.

The reason Bengaluru's roads are in poor condition is not because contractors don't know how to build roads, but because the tendering and contract allocation process is mired in corruption and misgovernance.
50% of the contracts in the past have been awarded to one agency called KRIDL, which is a corrupt organization designed to siphon off money, and which currently is under investigation by ED.
For the other 50% of the projects, the contractor is pre-decided (relative of the politician)!
Competent & capable contractors who want to focus on quality work are threatened with delayed payments and kept out of the tendering process.
The result is predictable. Roads are built poorly, roads are dug up repeatedly, public money is spent & siphoned off, and citizens continue to suffer from potholes and flooding.
This is not an engineering problem. It is a governance problem.
Until there is transparency and accountability in the tendering process, Bengaluru will continue to spend thousands of crores without getting the infrastructure it deserves.
The Bengaluru Development Minister needs to ask questions to the Ministers & Politicians, including from his own party (and not the Officials), to get the right answers.
Food, nuclear, pharma, data centres.
India’s four biggest growth bets are all water-intensive, being built in states that are already running out of it. The resource isn’t priced. The metering is just starting.
Somewhere in that gap is a company worth building…
Bengaluru South City Corporation to use the 'Astram' app for faster response to civic issues.
Engineers have been trained to use the app to identify and address:
🔹 Potholes
🔹 Rain-related road damage
🔹 Fallen trees and branches
🔹 Traffic-obstructing hazards
The technology, already used by Bengaluru Traffic Police, is expected to help civic teams respond more quickly to complaints reported by citizens and authorities.
Will this lead to faster pothole repairs and better monsoon response on the ground? 👀 @basavarajkabade@comm_blr_south

@DKShivakumar@CMofKarnataka
I’m taking time out and answering below. I will not be responding to any more of your questions of similar meaning henceforth.
I encourage you to spend some time speaking with a BNP leader in your ward in person. Have a conversation with them, understand what they are working on, and see things firsthand.
You will notice a stark difference in the level of leadership, passion, commitment, and accountability.
Now the questions 👇🏼
1/8
Your post confuses accountability with provocation, and cooperation with submission. You asked several questions, so here are direct answers. BNP has never presented itself as Bengaluru’s “saviour”. Citizens demanding the governance they pay for is democracy, not provocation.
2/8
Cooperation? We have met the CM, Bengaluru Development Minister, Chief Commissioners and officials repeatedly, submitted hundreds of requests and worked with the government wherever possible. Cooperation cannot mean remaining silent after repeated inaction.
3/8
BNP is built from the ward upwards. Leadership roles are assigned through internal party processes to citizens who demonstrate sustained civic work, local credibility and commitment and love for the land and the city. We have ward, zonal and Governing Council structures. Not dynastic or money-driven leadership.
4/8
A primary is one democratic mechanism, not the only definition of democracy. BNP holds AGMs, presents audited accounts, appoints auditors and reviews its activities and budgets. We are the only political party in this country to have our audited(third party) accounts put out in our website.
5/8
How is BNP leadership held accountable? Through defined responsibilities, weekly reviews, issue trackers, direct feedback from residents, internal discussions and a formal Code of Conduct. We are answerable for both our work and our conduct.
6/8
Funding? With Mission 25, we have publicly stated target of ₹2.5 crore to win 25 wards. It is being raised from citizens through recurring and one-time contributions, not hidden from public scrutiny. Accounts are audited and disclosures are made fully public.
7/8
BNP is not “instigating” citizens. We organise them around potholes, garbage, drains, water, streetlights and ward governance, and pursue the responsible authorities until action is taken. We have resolved 1,500+ civic issues without holding office. That is participation, not provocation.
8/8
Blind to positive developments? We acknowledge progress wherever it happens. But praising what works does not require silence about what fails.
We are ready to answer every question about BNP. Are Bengaluru’s elected representatives equally ready to answer for the condition of my city? #LekkaTorsi
Change happens when citizens step forward.
The transformation of this long-neglected civic amenity site in Someshwara Layout was made possible through the collective efforts of local residents working together with BNP.

T-MINUS 4.
More digging. More barricades. More of Bannerghatta Road blocked. ❌
Two-wheelers, cars, pedestrians, everyone is struggling to navigate this dangerous stretch.
We are now just four days away from the promised deadline.
But what has actually been completed?
One small patch of road cannot be showcased as if Bannerghatta Road has been fixed. The entire corridor remains broken, dug up, and unsafe.
Dear Chief Commissioner avare,
The pace on the ground is nowhere close to what this deadline demands.
Four days remain.
Citizens need the road restored. Not another explanation, another promise, or another token patchwork.
@GBA_office@GBAChiefComm
We will keep watching. We will keep reminding. We will keep fighting.
One road. One promise. One deadline.

When everyone knew monsoon has set in what was the need to start this work on the underpass in Kadrenahalli. Could it not have been done before since the issue was known. Now why the delay and put the commuters in trouble. Elections nearby works start. Wow
