@Rainmaker1973 That’s dangerous advice; you might want to delete this. The tap test is a way to check for maggots. It does *not* mean the mushroom is “very likely” edible.

Most mushrooms are not edible (that round brown one at the end).

And some are poisonous (the red and white amanita).

@timeout2575 @MicrobiomDigest @Harvard What I’m seeing is on the B negative control image. If you scan along its top edge, there are three small gray triangles, above the marks for 2 mm, 9 mm and 10 mm. That apparent repetition is what I’m referring to.
