Not all teenagers are sopranos or tenors.

I knew high schoolers whose voices sounded lower than our teachers.

They were usually cast as middle aged adults in theatre. Never their own age.

A deep voice and old age should have no correlation.

Every actor with a lower range is VERY tired because we keep hearing this from fans and casting. I've been told out right that acting isn't what keeps many of us from booking these roles, it's bias.

Call it style or preference, but it certainly isn't reality.
