@micz54 @Senpai_Cak3 @kayjii Nah, you’re confused. They cancelled two things. Hero missions and talent trees. Hero missions were storyless arcade style missions with random goals. Full campaign is coming, but with staggered release so we don’t have to wait.
@AndrewLombardo9@keiichimorisato@Kotaku Googled Square Enix NFT like you asked and found this quickly: https://t.co/4h3iynWlKN
30 seconds of reading tells you the partner name is Oasys. 5 (or as many as you’d like) seconds of googling them tells you they’re not environmentally damaging.
@AndrewLombardo9@keiichimorisato@Kotaku Kind of funny how this whole thread is pointless because it’s based on a lie. The whole gimmick of the Square Enix partner you’ve apparently researched so much is being eco friendly. Fearmongering garbage.
@ReckvelOfficial@thatcherryho @SavvyManatee @misanthropoetry@_pinkmollly that’s not the point. there is more chlorine in pool water. never in my life have I had “irreversible eye injury” from getting pool water in my eyes. maybe these symptoms aren’t accurate for even less chlorinated tap water? use ur noggin
@HappyOV2@SternritterNTR@jeeiekeoekenek1@GenePark Do you get permanent access to a server when you buy an online only game or are they free to take it away whenever they want?
Art NFTs are stupid. Worthless. NFTs of items that are already server dependent like Apex skins are freedom.
@HappyOV2@SternritterNTR@jeeiekeoekenek1@GenePark Some people are just misinformed but I’m wondering how you even managed to login to twitter with how you don’t understand the difference between a digital item and a real one. It’s especially hilarious considering you posted a screenshot that had video game items in it in Jan.
@HappyOV2@SternritterNTR@jeeiekeoekenek1@GenePark Read what you replied to again. Very slowly. If you can’t see how Amazon is not capable of the same things, kindly do not respond to me or anyone else about NFTs again.
@HappyOV2@SternritterNTR@jeeiekeoekenek1@GenePark There are zero existing services I’ve seen that accomplish the same thing. I can make a web app right now that sells ANYTHING online as an NFT. The user can then sell it on a marketplace and buy something else all without me needing to manage any of it. Just mint the NFT and go.
@SternritterNTR@jeeiekeoekenek1@GenePark This is exactly how any market works. You’ve just been convinced NFTs are this complicated concept and they’re just not. People are scammed sure, but that happens without NFTs. The only difference is that you need to be smarter with NFTs because no chargebacks are possible.
@SternritterNTR@jeeiekeoekenek1@GenePark It’s such a hands off approach from a game dev perspective too. They don’t need to build their own marketplace or partner with another one even. Just mint NFTs for game items, let the player link their wallet, and the. Then the player decides what to do with their stuff freely.
@SternritterNTR@jeeiekeoekenek1@GenePark Imagine quitting warframe and trading all of your warframe items to someone who wants them, in exchange for a bunch of old limited time Valorant skins.
That is the freedom of NFTs, but we’ll never get there if consumers keep shooting them selves in the foot.
@SternritterNTR@jeeiekeoekenek1@GenePark Most popular games have artificial scarcity. Whether it’s valorant gun skins or rare items drops in an mmo. Exchanging those items freely isn’t scamming… The companies benefit from you not being able to exchange them with other players, and you just lose out.
@SternritterNTR@jeeiekeoekenek1@GenePark Do you actually have reasoning for saying that? Or are you just brainwashed by big companies avoiding NFTs because they are good for consumers?
@Lorekeeper_GGuy@pcgamer …fees and environmental impact close to zero. The proposed idea of items transferring between games is not impossible. Anyone can make an ingame item out of existing NFTs. The confusion ppl have is just about whose burden it is to develop / design said item. (2/2)
@ibaladi@EmilBangMik@PlayOverwatch OW2 and OW1 will be merged when the game releases as far as I know. If you aren’t interested in the PvE or OW2 skins then it’ll probably just be an Overwatch 2.0 update to you. The new game will be for PvE folks.
