@CKMonty We just had to move a nest, they built it on a ceiling fan and we needed to replace it. We didn’t touch them, we did everything we could, but the abandoned them. Gave them to a friends 3YO girls to raise. Hand feeding them, apparently they’re doing well

@AndrewBendee @cdella19 I believe they’re pretty expensive, however if packing out a Ute, there very good and cost effective. All of these systems, no matter how good, rely on people putting them back where they found them. My idea is that if it’s easy to see it’s missing I’m more likely to see it early

@cropmad No, in the settings of the car gps, you can go in and tell it what average speed to use when calculating the time to travel somewhere, by default they’re all set at 40kmh. Its a pretty crap system but adjusting those speeds does help and makes it more accurate

@SandyHorne61 Unfortunately AS3000 has made it very clear now when a switchboard requires upgrade, and there are heavy penalties for electricians if we don’t comply. Def get other quotes but there a lot of factors that increase the cost. Size of house, age of house etc.

@Tomcurnow10 Exactly, so $100 not so bad. If it’s urgent, the $100 is insignificant. On the other hand, if your in the shed on a Saturday afternoon and you need parts, $100 is a rip off!

@Tomcurnow10 It’s to make sure your call is genuine. If it’s free the client will do it all the time. With a call out fee the client is more inclined to plan better. Can’t avoid genuine breakdown. So I don’t think $100 is much, what’s the cost of bot getting the part until Monday?

@Telstra Honestly it’s just part of life now. Call drop outs, no data, even if you have service. We’ve just learned to live with it. Until Telstra admits there is a bigger problem across all regional areas nothing will change.

I think the tide has turned on masks. People recognise they had a place at a time of uncertainty, but are appropriately re-assessing their value especially in schools. It is a good time to re-evaluate primary and secondary school mask policy in all Australian jurisdictions.

@gimmeahandle Seen it done, they used fencing strainers to straighten it before securing to purlin so it didn’t curl, use conduit saddle to secure
