THE FEDERAL ELECTION BEGINS TODAY

There's a lot of white noise out there this week, but I want you to stop, and read this from start to finish if there's nothing else you give your attention to.

I need to talk to you. This is important.

Something is very wrong.

Today is the starting gun of the federal election.

It is unlikely that parliament will sit again, with the Albo ramming as much of his legislative agenda through the Senate last night. It is now nearly certain that we are looking at a late February or March election.

The final betrayal of Australians who care about free speech and the values of liberalism was carried out by the coalition, with a few exceptions in Antic and Canavan.

Australians are being smashed by inflation, brought to their knees by rising prices for unreliable energy while we have resource abundance, and paying poverty inducing excise for alcohol, smokes, and petrol. All of these taxes hurt everyday people the most.

At the same time the government is using mass migration to cook the economic books and pretend we're not in the deep recession we have all felt for almost two years. Soon even that won't be enough to keep us out of a recession by whatever metric.

Not enough homes are being built because State Governments are sucking up all the trades and resources building tunnels trains can't even fit through, while NIMBY councils block new home approvals.

We can't afford the houses that are being built because the government won't stop pump priming the economy, unless we accept the government into yet another area of our lives - this time as a joint owner with the government owning up to 40% of your home.

Our money is devaluing faster than we can save it because of reckless government spending and the even more reckless choice to engage in inflationary money printing to try to get out of that black hole.

The government is actively attacking people seeking greater personal sovereignty via alternatives to fiat currency like Bitcoin through Draconian taxes, intrusive regulations, and even debanking.

For the first time in generations, Australians under 40 are objectively worse off than the generation before them on every metric.

If you're older than that, you are worried about the world you're handing over. If you're in that cohort, like me, you're wondering what kind of future you might be starting or raising your family to inherit.

It shouldn't be this way. If our leaders were honest with us about the mistakes they've made, a plan to fix them, and the hard sacrifices that we have to make to carry out that plan, we would have hope.

But instead they say that everything is fine, and actually that you are the problem for even asking why things are so bad. They say that you can have your cake and eat it too.

They are wrong, and you know it when they lie to you. You feel it in your stomach. You try not to think about it but it's always there, in the back of your mind.

I am far from a perfect person. I have made many mistakes and I am sure that they won't be the last. I've caused a hell of a lot of damage in the process that I'm still working to make fix and make amends for.

But if there's one thing I've learned through recovery from drug and alcohol addiction, repairing broken trust, and picking up the pieces from a failed small business, it is this: nothing hard ever gets easier if you push it down the road.

We need to get rid of the distorted incentives of a centrally planned migration system.

We need to end migration quotas, open to manipulation by the government of the day to achieve political and economic objectives that don't benefit the existing society.

We need to incentivise the best migrants to come, who want to contribute to our country, start businesses, innovate, and bring crucial skills. We also want to keep the best and brightest we have instead of losing them.

We need to treat permanent residency in this country as the privilege and highly sought after prize that it is. We need to ensure that access to medicare, centrelink and citizenship is not a box ticking excercise gained in a few short years, but something earned.

We need to cut spending, starting with the bloated unproductive and out of touch elite political class.

There's a long list of federal government departments, commissions and bodies that could be axed like so much dead wood without any difference or inconvenience to your life.

The federal Departments of Education and Health, the ABC, the E-Safety Commission, just to start. These bodies don't have to answer for the costs or consequences of failure, the taxpayers do. You.

We need to slash excise tax from petrol, alcohol, and cigarettes. We need a flat income tax of 20% above a tax free threshold of $40,000.00. We need voluntary super to give you back control over your money that the government thinks you can't be trusted to spend or invest.

We need to scrap bans on energy sources like Nuclear, and get government money and subsidies out of the energy market to let the best energy mix prevail, not the mix based on ideological factors.

We need to get the government out of your home and your relationships with your partners and family. We need to clear the strangling weeds of government overreach and create space for community organisations (and the community spirit that goes with them) to grow.

We need to restore individual agency to allow Australians to pursue what makes them happy with unparalleled respect for their life projects, and the life projects of others, so long as others aren't harmed. We need to take responsibility for our own destiny and for taking care of our loved ones.

This is the moment we shift the narrative and take control of our destiny, as we have just seen happen in the US.

This is an extremely serious issue for shooters in Tasmania - under the new requirements, we believe most of the state is going to have serious issues trying to get a firearms licence.
