Important announcement to all diabetes HCPs and Cook&Count app users: After 5 years of being the only nutritional app especially for home cooking, we are very sorry to announce we will be shutting down on Monday 11 February, 2019. See website for detail: https://t.co/OSzXcnJ2KN
On this #WorldDiabetesDay we are thrilled that the postcode lottery for #libre flash glucose monitoring is finally over. Huge thanks to @parthaskar et al for their tireless work in making this happen. #type1diabetes https://t.co/B8eGzLJhKG
@DHSCgovuk It is equally important to give people the nutritional information of food they cook at home, allowing them to take control, adjust portion sizes & eat less processed foods. Our app (free version too) offers this. Just like the supermarket label only better #homecooking
@everydayupsdwns Yes, depending on which way you look at it, everything has its risks. Even drinking too much water can kill! A bit boring but 'enjoy everything in moderation' seems to work best.
No single food is a “superfood”. It's overall balance that matters. As with any high fat product (it's much higher fat than butter) coconut oil should be used sparingly, instead of as a replacement for oils like rapeseed, olive and sunflower. #homecooking https://t.co/l2HE1fIab8
The new #Type1diabetes resource has been recently launched by @NHSEngland. Thanks to those responsible for developing this platform, along with @parthaskar and everybody sharing this wonderful guide today.
What #freestylelibre means: "... as I realise my 14 days are up I sense the light go out on my scary diabetes room and I’m back to the finger prick tests and mostly guess work" quote from @jamieloweTV#T1D
"9 out of 10 people say clearer food labelling would help them make healthier food choices" We support @DiabetesUK#foodupfront campaign. Our app is all about home cooking AND getting accurate nutritional info, per any size portion #type1diabetes#diabetes https://t.co/XDaLxPj7bg
