@jcbstwsk@BootsRiley I think it's important to note that every time I tweet about my movie, I am filled with a deep shame. Either way this is very nice. Love "Mike Leigh meets Mike Judge." Very refereshing to get some comparisons that aren't just Safdie bros.
Interesting, @BootsRiley and @CoolBrandonD both promoting their films directly on X; both films are about the follies of decadence and are, broadly speaking, American Finance Comedies, but while I Love Boosters is surreal and bombastic, $POSITIONS is more grounded and visceral, Mike Leigh meets Mike Judge (not too persuaded by the Safdie comparisons though it does draw from the same timeless well of propulsive dramatic irony).
if you liked $POSITIONS and want to help support us, go rate it and review it on Amazon and Apple specifically. This helps us climb the algorithmic hellscape.
If you didn't like the movie, please disregard, as you unfortunately have terrible taste in movies.
really liked this. clearly inspired by the Safdies’ but i don’t think those guys would be able to make something as emotionally effective as Travis’ monologue about finding Jesus in himself (Trevor Dawkins on my list of Best Supporting Actor performances for the year so far)
