Never force relationships or communication. If it's not mutual, then let it go. People know exactly what they're doing. If they wanted to match your energy, they would. Start rewarding inconsistency with unavailability. Allow them to lose you because of their lack of effort.
my toxic trait is i suffer in silence and hope someone notices i’m not myself. growing up i had to constantly be there for others but no one was ever there for me. so i learned to be “the helper” but never learned how to reach out or be helped.
You can learn a lot about people from what they lack. If they lack accountability, they'll shift the blame. If they lack communication skills, they'll say you're arguing. If they lack emotional intelligence, they'll call you sensitive. If they lack effort, they're not interested.
Don't avoid difficult conversations with loved ones. Let them know how you feel. Just remember your tone in your voice sets the tone of the conversation.
Be grateful that things didn’t work out. You were meant to learn from the experience, not change the toxic situation. Take the lessons with you, and stop feeling bad for walking away from something that offered emptiness. You deserve a life that fills you up, not drains you.
If you lack emotional intelligence we will never work out fr. I’m not teaching you how to apologize, how to take accountability, or how to treat me with respect. These are basic qualities you should already possess before entering a relationship.
in the end, it’s not about what you say — it’s about what you do. if you say you respect my boundaries and then proceed to cross them — you don’t respect my boundaries.
growing with your girl is a top tier experience. both of y'all chasing y'all dreams, getting money, creating healthier habits, both wanting the relationship and working together to make it last. it's okay to be in a healthy relationship. it's not boring, it's very peaceful
Respectfully, I don’t go above and beyond for people anymore. I meet you as far as you meet me. I speak to you as much as you speak to me. I include you as much as you include me.
