@warnerbro@Conway226@P2WFantasy So you are projecting that as the offense progresses, he will maintain (or nearly maintain) TD output %? One of the flukiest metrics that also would have been so high because the team was barren of talent.
Again, we value these numbers differently.
@warnerbro@Conway226@P2WFantasy If you are okay with one game being 14% of his total 17 game yardage output and 20% of his TD output, we have very different expectations and that’s okay.
FWIW check the start % for that week as well. He was on everyone’s benches by that point unless your RB room was very bare.
@warnerbro@Conway226@P2WFantasy Cherry picking the worst Jacobs season and he still averaged more rushing and receiving yards per game than Jeanty did.
It’s OKAY to admit Jeanty hasn’t met expectations yet but the upside is still incredible. I’m specifically refuting the “do it” statement in NFL. He hasn’t.
@Conway226@P2WFantasy A goal line back, it doesn’t matter. A change of pace back, it doesn’t matter. A bellcow, it absolutely matters to some extent. You have to produce. PFF grade also isn’t everything but he wasn’t even a top 32 RB and that factors in that “myriad factors”.
@Jsull254@Conway226@P2WFantasy Oh I read your comment. It just doesn’t change that he didn’t really achieve anything. Even his PFF grade was 35th best
By your standard should we expect nothing from Achane this year? His situation is abysmal. But he’s still expected to produce like what he’s getting paid to do
@warnerbro@Conway226@P2WFantasy So a couple good weeks overlooks him busting about half of the weeks last year? I’m specifically discussing the “do it in the NFL statement”. Many Jeanty owners feel otherwise.
You don’t need to bring the durability concern to me. I’ve argued in favor of that with others.
@Conway226@P2WFantasy By what do you mean “do it”?
Seems like more people are concerned with the 3.7 YPA than considering what he’s done in the NFL to be any metric of success.
He basically stayed healthy and had a workload. Najee Harris never had that bad of a season in his first 4 years with Pitt.
@phoenixthaboss@SportLurker@Underwood_szn Fans may be alums or local teams, but there’s also normal people cheering for the team where there’s a fundamental difference in what those two types of fandoms are.
Most schools don’t really have “fans” in the same ways others do.
@phoenixthaboss@SportLurker@Underwood_szn There’s a large difference between Purdue (& small schools) & Ohio State (& big schools)
Nobody is randomly a Purdue fan. They are local, or immediate relatives are alums and you grew into SUPPORTING them
Big school teams might as well be pro teams. Fans and Alums are different
@guy18677900@NFL@Jahmyr_Gibbs1@Lions 1.) Why is that your thought?
2.) If you did, you’re clearly attracted to him, and you get THREE portraits of him from behind. Sounds like a big win to me.
Getting tattoos of yourself is whack😅
@PickensBurgh@MySportsUpdate During his Steelers tenure he was the ONLY RB to get 1,000+ yards in each season from 2021 to 2024.
He averaged 1365 total yards and 8.5 TDs per season.
Richardson only hit 1,000 yards one, never hit Najee’s average yards (as a Steeler), and was out of the league in three years
@Alchomitzy @TM78543527936 @SkolSmith Agreed, and while 1,000 doesn’t feel elite, for one reason or another Harris is the ONLY RB to accumulate 1,000+ yards in each of the last four season. The ONLY one.
Even only him, Henry, and Pollard have done it the last three.
Downplaying this was weird during the game.
@KadynTatman@Section344Lions It’s March. Most teams don’t roster more than 4 actual edge players on their 53 man. Guys like Bosa likely won’t sign until after the draft with a June 1 designation to not mess with comp pick formulas for 2026.
They will surely take an edge in Round 1/2 and sign a vet still.
@KadynTatman@Section344Lions You are prematurely writing off the 2025 first rounder imo. And again, you’re debating two things.
Is the issue the lack of investment (it’s not, this is what I’ve been responding to) or the lack of players to pan out (stay healthy/be good/etc). The issue is players working out
@KadynTatman@Section344Lions He’s never resigned Paschal. He actually had a whole extra year of control through 2026 and outright released him.
He did resign Levi last year and this year. Last year was a one year deal worth less than Lopez (who we didn’t mention) and this year it’s a veteran league minimum.
