Copper is the new gold. And nobody is paying attention.
- A single AI data center needs 50,000 tons of copper. One facility.
- The world is building 527 new data centers right now. Every one is a copper extraction.
- S&P Global projects a 10 million ton shortage by 2040.
- It takes 19 years to open a new copper mine in the US. AI needs copper now.
- Ore grades collapsed 40% since 1991. We’re digging deeper for less every year.
- Jensen Huang the NVIDIA ($3T) CEO is bullish on copper
- JPMorgan says data center copper demand hits 475,000 tons this year. 4x last year.
Everyone is stacking gold. The smart money is quietly stacking copper. By the time the masses notice, the mines will already be empty.

The ancient Etheric wisdom we forgot:
Drive a copper grounding rod from any Home Depot or hardware store into the Earth, connect to its natural electrical charge & Schumann frequency (7.83 Hz). Absorb and balance your frequency with free electrons straight from the planet to neutralize inflammation, recharge your biofield, and heal.
It's why woman carried umbrellas with brass or copper handles and men carried canes with the same handles. Receiving the Etheric charge from the atmosphere and from the ground respectively...
Nature's lost superpower
86 million tons. That’s the amount of recoverable copper currently sitting in America's ‘Urban Mine’. Recovering this material helps secure our domestic supply chain. But, for a truly circular economy to thrive, the process must start before a product is even built, with collaboration across the entire value chain. Watch our video to see how “end” becomes a new beginning.

In buildings across America, #copper works behind the walls to deliver strength, safety & sustainability.
🏗️ Long-lasting wiring & plumbing
🔥 Fire & thermal safety
🧼 Antimicrobial surfaces
♻️ 100% recyclable for circular design
100% recyclable without performance loss = #copper is one of the few materials that is. More than two-thirds of mined copper is actively used today, and more than 32% of U.S. copper supply comes from recycled sources.
Now, with copper’s inclusion on the draft 2025 USGS Critical Minerals List and the new tariff incentives, expect even more investment in domestic recycling capacity.
For OEMs, this means:
- A stronger circular supply loop
- Lower lifecycle emissions in product design
- Reduced reliance on foreign smelters and refiners
Copper isn’t just sustainable - it’s strategic.
Where in your operations do you see the biggest opportunity to use recycled copper?

Bloomberg on copper today, ‘The Global Copper Supply Squeeze Is Coming’
Copper supply dynamics have rarely looked this tight, making the market vulnerable to a shock that could send prices soaring.
China, meanwhile, is absorbing more and more of the world’s available supply as it expands smelting capacity. That’s upping the pressure on others to source feedstock. As competition for copper concentrate heats up, Japanese smelters have warned of possible output cuts.
The squeeze is increasingly visible in prices. US copper futures trade at record premiums over global benchmarks. Copper stockpiles are running low, so mining companies have more power when they negotiate sales. In some deals, buyers are even paying extra just to make sure they can get enough copper to keep their factories operating.
Goldman Sachs on copper: The ongoing US Section 232 copper investigation continues to drive an unusually wide gap between COMEX (US) and LME (UK) prices, resulting in the US over-importing ~400kt of copper so far this year. US inventory has risen to over 100 days worth of consumption, up from just 33 days at the beginning of the year.
We upgrade our 2H 2025 LME copper price forecast to an average of $9,890, up from $9,140 previously. We expect the copper price to rise to a peak for the year of $10,050 in August due to the tariff-driven reduction in ex-US stocks, and (2) China sentiment and activity remaining relatively resilient.
America’s #copper supply chain is at a tipping point. Coming up over the next few weeks, we’re unpacking THREE key non-tariff areas that demand urgent action:
- A targeted export ban to keep strategic copper scrap in the U.S.
- Strategic workforce development to address a looming talent gap in mining.
- The game-changing potential of IRC Section 45X to revitalize U.S. copper production.
Which of these areas do you think deserves immediate priority?
💬 Comment below. Let’s talk U.S.A. copper strategy.

Did you know that recycled copper currently comprises about 35% of U.S. copper supply?
Despite having sufficient domestic recycling and secondary refining capacity, over 680,000 tonnes of high-purity copper scrap is exported out of the country.
Keeping more readily recyclable copper scrap within our borders is an important step to boosting domestic recycling rates to help meet the projected doubling of copper demand by 2035 with an all-of-the-above sourcing strategy.
