_____
The reason I write about fitness is not just because it’s cool.
It’s actually a bit deeper than that.
Applying the C-E-P rule played a huge role in that decision.
I've been told that everyone else picks the fitness industry.
But that never bothered me.
Because my response has always been:
"I've got something that 99% of them don't"
Here’s what:
_____
1. Competence
And no…
When I say competence, I don’t mean having read 15 recipe books or some B.S. certificate from college.
We all know that you cheated on your assignments.
So keep the papers for yourself.
I am talking about practical knowledge that you can apply to other humans.
I can generate fitness content good enough to find its place in a P.E. textbook.
> Injury prevention
> Warm-ups
> Optimal lifting
> HIIT session
> Diets
> Etc.
YOU NAME IT!
I do the writing.
This type of competence comes through experience; which leads me to my second point.
_____
2. Experience
People are naturally wired to trust experienced individuals more.
And if you don’t believe me,
Ask yourself this question:
“Would I want to be a surgeon’s first patient?”
Of course, you don’t.
It is the same with copywriting.
Let’s pretend you are the fitness coach for a moment.
And you need someone to write your blog.
You’ve got 2 options.
1. A guy who’s been training in the gym for 2-3 years.
Or
2. Boris (me) with my resume of:
- 11 years academy football
- 1 year Taekwon-Do
- 1 year swimming
- 3 years lifting weights
- played under 12+ coaches from 5 different countries
- worked with multiple physios
- CPR certificate
- coached 6-17 yr olds
You get it now?
_____
3. Passion
You gotta love it, man!
It’s really that simple.
Otherwise, it isn’t gonna last very long.
I’ve tried writing about many things.
And the outcome was always the same.
3-4 days in… I was hating it already.
Why?
Because I was not PASSIONATE!
However, when it comes to sports,
OMG… I get excited like a little boy when it’s time for sports talk/writing.
But that’s me…
What about you?
What is YOUR passion?!
_____
Lesson:
You must start practising sports until you become:
- competent
- experienced
- passionate
And then become a copywriter in the fitness industry!
Nahh, I’m kidding.
You are a unique individual.
And you have your own area of competence whether it would be:
> sports
> filming
> pets
> crypto
> dating
> etc.
It doesn't matter.
Applying the C-E-P rule can certainly help a lot.
But don't chase something just because it seems easy or you enjoy it at the moment.
Start looking for long-term business strategies!
And remember,
Don't chase the crowd. Be yourself.

@MariaEChapero Once you show them that you understand their current state, you're already halfway there.
You've built trust and the person is interested to see what solution you can provide.
Then it is your job to provide the most risk free, easy and quick solution to their problems.
@RWJCopy Good morning, Ross.
What I recently started doing first thing in morning is:
1. Pray
2. Coffee
3. Jump straight into work
Building the momentum from the very start of the day.
I used to read and do all that extra stuff before but now I leave it for later.
What about you?
@FabledWords Quitting should never be an option.
Why lose all the momentum?
If an X strategy didin't work out,
Try Y immediately.
At least that's what you'll do if you really want it.
@eobaklifestyle Exactly, man.
You can learn all the things that you should do.
But once you get in deep waters... and the adrenaline hits.
Then it is a totally different story.
@LaurenceKuek I always to try to get them to convince themselves...
By asking the right questions.
Even I have a lot to say.
I don't do it.
Demonstrating convidence and remaining calm is what works for me.
@lewiskiddell That is the true definiton of consistency.
Even if you give 30% of what you are normally capable of.
It is still much better than not doing anything at all.
You can't be 100% productive every single day.
@TheRealRyanKeys Someone said it...
I've never celebrated numbers unless they're in my bank account.
People in the same position as me enegaging so I can engage back is obviously not bad for my account.
But definitely isn't the goal.
@ItsLeonBekteshi The "get attention" step for me is what is REALLY important.
Only if people knew how many DMs those prospects receive daily...
It ain't just about writing a good copy.
You need to get them to open it in the first place which is the hard part.
