I’ve been somewhat ambivalent about the World Cup - too expensive, NJ transit will be hell - but darn it if this doesn’t please my soul and get me excited. I hope other teams receive warm welcomes.
Boston, we will miss you.
Gracias for making us part of you. #RedSoxNation, you are the ❤️ of that team, keep believing, you really care and that’s what pushes everyone in the @RedSox to give it all day in and day out.
With respect and love

There was a cohort of local broadcast anchors in the NYC media market in the 80s and 90s that felt larger than life. Ernie Anastos (RIP), Sue Simmons, Chuck Scarborough, Warner Wolf, Len Berman, Kaity Tong, Roz Abrams, Diana Williams, Dana Tyler, John Roland, Bill Beutel….If you grew up watching local news in the 80s and 90s, these were giants. They were the Cronkite’s of our local broadcast TV world and there won’t ever be a crew like them that holds our attention and feel as intimate a part of our lives as they once did.
The curse of being a formally trained print journalist is knowing the difference between an em dash (—), an en dash (–) and a hyphen (-) and having to see normies misuse all three, all of the time.
Nathan in 2018, Simone in 2021, and now ilia in 2026. When will NBC learn that when you make one person the star of all your programming, you put them under enormous mental pressure and set them up for failure
The real miracle of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade happens at the end, when teams of volunteers dive chest-first on the colossal balloons in a 15-minute dash to deflate them. https://t.co/AN8um76jMz
