In 2012, Deadmau5 got a random message from a 17-year-old boy who wrote and provided vocals to an unreleased song. Deadmau5 decided to react to it on stream, was absolutely blown away, and instantly signed the kid.

Founders should have two decks:

1: A short 10-slide deck you send in advance of a first call with an investor.

2: A longer 20-slide deck you send after your first call if the investor is qualified.

Longer deck should include more detailed financial projections.
